 You get a little more leeway pitching in these 'B' games. You feel like you get to work on things a little bit more. I threw a couple of changeups in situations that I wouldn't have, but it is really good right now for me to throw them and get used to that, to get a feel with that.

 It's not good. As soon as I started trying to throw changeups and really extend the arm, I could feel it. Hopefully, it doesn't put me back too far.

 These last two games we have put up some runs. When you score eight runs you feel pretty good about your chances, but the pitching just wasn't there today and we made some errors in key situations.

 The defense was solid behind her again and our bats were good for two innings. I feel like I keep saying the same things about our pitching and defense. But I don't want to quit saying them, either. Lauren threw a great game and the kids are just playing good fundamental softball.

 All season the coaches have been stressing these things. I feel it's our responsibility as players to do them. We haven't executed sometimes, and we've gotten ourselves into trouble. That's why we've lost some of the games that we have in the past. At this point, there's no leeway for that.

 I feel good. I didn't throw a lot of pitches in my last start. I feel comfortable about being able to go (Sunday).  We can't make it the rest of the season with five guys. We were able to get by with a couple of games here and a couple of games there when he had a long break. Now that we're playing twice a week, we have to be eight deep. I feel like we are. Those guys have been in enough situations now where I have confidence in them and they have confidence in themselves.

 They're pitcher did a good job. We want to win. We feel like we're good enough to win a couple games here if we can get things going. We have to have everybody participating.

 This guy's not a fluke. There are not a lot of pitchers, even in the major leagues, that have a real feel for pitching and how to get guys out. He's got a feel for it. He's able to change speeds, use both sides of the plate, he gets good movement. He does a lot of things really well.

 He's certainly not going to throw one inning and then start the season. But we'll get him in games when he and [pitching coach Al Nipper] feel he's ready to do that in a positive way.
