 By jogging memories as well as creating wonderful moments by having them performed on this year's Emmy show, we think we're giving viewers one more reason to tune in and be entertained. I think we've got some great television moments in this year's broadcast and our Emmy Idol performances are just the tip of the iceberg.

 There are certain television theme songs that are nearly as memorable as the shows connected to them. By jogging memories as well as creating wonderful moments by having them performed on this year's Emmy show, we think we're giving viewers one more reason to tune in and be entertainment.

 What's not here are those shows on the WB, like 'The Gilmore Girls,' which the TV Critics Association of America tells us is the best show on television, ... Why didn't it get any Emmy nominations? And what about 'Scrubs'? ... It's holding its own, critics love it, viewers love it, but Emmy voters aren't watching it, because it's too young skewing, and the geezer Emmy voters have a demographic a little north of what 'Scrubs' viewers are.

 We will have plenty of laughs as well as poignant moments. I think this year in particular -- not only due to world events, but also that there's a fresh crop of nominees and some people that are probably going to walk up there and win their first Emmy -- it sets the table for a pretty exciting show.

 'Lost' and 'Desperate Housewives' revitalized broadcast television, which is the business of the vast majority of Emmy voters, and they appreciate that.

 I'm thinking about naming my first son Emmy so I can say I've got one. I want Emmy, Oscar and Tony - and my daughter Grammy.

 After the Emmy the show picked up steadily through the seventh season, when they had people from 'Survivor' on there, until last year.

 One of the first things we decided very early on ... was instead of creating a movie of all the classic iconic moonwalk moments that we've all seen, we would go just to the left or to the right of what we know, or what we think we know, ... So I would say the majority of the moments in the movie are not moments that we've seen before.

 There is no more perfect choice to host this year's Emmy show than Ellen. She brings her own distinct style and talent to everything she does.

 I don't think our best moments have come yet. I think we've all surprised ourselves this year, and I think our great moments are still to come.

 Emmy adopted me for a grandmother, and she reminds me of things I did when I was younger, things I did in college. I have had a lot of happy times when I've been with Emmy.

 The cost of producing both the live show in Times Square and the television broadcast was prohibitive this year. We look forward to bringing BOB back to television next year.

 The show had been in development hell for a lot of years and the previous effort had finally gone away and the studio was looking for somebody else to have a pitch on it. And I said, 'I'm not sure.' I wasn't sure if frankly I wanted to do it. I had done ten years at Star Trek , so I had done a lot of time in space. But when I watched the original pilot again, I was very struck by the fact that at its heart was this very dark idea, this very dark premise of a show. That in the opening moments, an entire civilization is lost. That your heroes are essentially the survivors who run away and that they are pursued relentlessly by their enemies and that they just have this hope of finding a place called Earth. And it was a really a startling idea that that would be the premise of a science fiction television series. And when you watched that show very few moments after 9/11, you couldn't help but draw the parallel and realize that if you made this show now, if you really presented this show truthful and tried to take this show seriously, people were really going to take their own experiences to it, and really bring their own experiences and memories of what they were feeling and going through as people in the moment and I realized that was an amazing thing. That's a gift. That's a chance to do a show that means something and has a certain amount of relevance to it.

 I appreciate the Jets allowing me to move on with my career. I want to thank the organization for giving me the chance to play in my hometown. It's been a great experience. We had some exciting moments on the field and memories I can take with me.
