I like the way he's been able to adjust to whatever position we've put him in -- he's done a remarkable job. Everybody has their ideas of what a leader is and everybody is entitled to their opinion. It's unfortunate because I liked Carl and had nothing but a good time with him. He was good for our team and he'll make Seattle a better team. I got nothing bad to say about the guy.

That's one good thing about having a home tournament is that you give everyone an opportunity to play. Part of having a good team is having depth and competition in practice. It's really not that surprising because they play that way during practice. We have a really deep team and a lot of really good players.

We beat a very good Vanderbilt team even though we didn't play great (on Friday) at some spots, but everyone did a good job of fighting. We didn't come out ready to play in doubles, but as a team we really make playing here a true home-court advantage.

It turned out to be a good decision for him. We got a chance to see a little bit of what he was capable of last spring, but the difference this time is he's been given more of a stage to demonstrate his skills. He's been here the entire time and has had the opportunity to play in quite a few of the games. So, it's been a good opportunity for him to show what he can do.

We try to look at the games we are playing. Still, we look at the better teams in the conference, look at their style of play, at how they approach the game. We will come across everyone sooner or later. But conference is a time that is really fun. It's a little crazy. The scouting reports are so good. Everyone knows everything about everyone else. We know their plays, they know ours. But conference play is also fun, a lot of competition. It's what you live for, the competition. Go onto somebody else's court, come away with a victory. It's all fun.
