Marquette has had a lot of close matches with teams that we've had close matches with. So we knew it was going to be a close match. In addition, they are very strong at doubles. It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

The match came down to number one doubles. We were up 9-6 in the tie-breaker and had three match points but they won five straight points to close out the match.

We were competitive at every position, especially at Nos. 1 and 4, and Pablo played his best match of the season.

We had the opportunity to win at doubles. We really had the match going our way, but we couldn't close.

They won the doubles point last time, and it won the match. We worked a lot on doubles in preparation for the match. But it's a good chance for us. Usually you don't get an opportunity to get revenge the next week. And we're gunning for them and we're going to beat them this time.

The No. 2 doubles are giving me fits, but they found a way to win another close match and that's gotta help them for down the road.

I was really pleased with both of the doubles wins. We won most of the close matches, something that could help a player come through in a tough match later in the season.

Kevin played another outstanding match. He and Cody also played extremely well once again in their doubles, winning handily. Lucas Larsen played much better tonight as well. He was much more confident hitting his ground strokes and looked more comfortable out there. Luke Bruck also got a big, close, hard-fought win at No. 4 singles. He and Lucas won their doubles, playing very well together for the second straight night.

I was surprised at our play in doubles against Samford. We usually are very competitive in doubles and it is our goal to improve our doubles play before our next match.

The heat index is close 100 degrees. If you look at everyone on this team, they've got a low percentage of body fat. Everyone could go for two and half or three hours in a doubles or singles match.

There is still some work to do in our doubles because it is important to get the doubles point in matches. We need to focus on the match and play like we can.
