 I thought Angelo did well considering he was thrown in there with no notice. The one thing about being a backup is you have to prepare like you're about to play. He does a great job of preparing, and (linebackers coach) Don Blackmon does a great job of preparing the backups like starters.

 It's always a concern when you lose two starters. That's a tough blow to any team. You've got to look at it as an opportunity for other players to step in. Guys will step in and play well. Coach Carroll does a great job of preparing them.

 I'm not going to sit up here and critique coach, or anything like that. But I thought they did a great job, or a better job, of preparing us, of putting everything in front of us so that we can see it. . . . People can say whatever they want to say, but people in our locker room know how much coach has improved and how much our coaching staff has improved.

 The backups take their jobs seriously and prepare during the week like they're going to be starters, prepare like they're going to play the whole game on Sundays. When you have guys on the team that take their jobs seriously, you have confidence putting them in those game situations.

 I don't think anybody can tell you or prepare you for all the things I need to be told and prepared to be a head coach who's ready to go out there today. You really don't know what path it's going to take you, but you're always preparing yourself for this day.

 Our defensive backs coach Robert Hayes did a great job of preparing the secondary. He had those guys in the right place.

 It's not that much difference preparing like a starter. I always prepare like I'm going to play anyway. If someone gets hurt, you have to go in there.

 It's a great opportunity for those young men to play. You start with Spencer at center, Weaver at fullback, Mo Morris, especially Seneca. Those are good backups.  The will to win is so high right now. Coach Dungy does a great job and the coaching staff does a great job with that. We prepare so well around here: the film study and the way they break it down . . . the information they give us allows us to go out and play smart and play with a lot of poise and play with a lot of confidence.

 I'm ready. I'm ready to start. I came in today preparing that way. I'm feeling comfortable, getting back into the groove of things ... and, unless that changes, I'm the guy preparing to play.

 We're just preparing to go down there and play. I can't be the weatherman. ... If the game moves on down the line, that's just more time to prepare for Miami.

 I'm ready, ... I'm ready to start. I came in today preparing that way. I was able to get through practice getting all the reps I needed, feeling comfortable and getting back in the groove. Right now, I'm the guy preparing to play this week.

 Sometimes you go against guys who are bigger than you or over-mass your size, but it really doesn't matter. It is just how you play the game. We are not preparing for size. We are preparing for what they do.
