I hit my first sprichwort

 I knew they were going to double- team, triple-team me. I was missing shots that I would never miss. Shots that I have to take. Shots around the basket. . . . That was their game plan. They want somebody else to beat them.

 Even though I had been in that situation before, I was nervous for every one of those shots. I knew how close the game was and I knew that every point mattered.

 I wish I knew. I wish I knew. ... I think we hit three or four shots right at the end of the game to beat them. They could have gone the other way. I can't explain it but I'll keep it.

 This game was totally different because most of my shots were dropping. I was just feeling good. We worked better as a team this game. I knew I had to step up my game.

 That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

 Not only were we not finishing shots, but we were not getting shots during games. We were getting 20 to 30 shots per game. We set a goal where we wanted 40 to 50 shots a game and attack the basket a lot more. The kids are getting a lot more comfortable doing that.

 We knew this was going to happen, ... We knew probably a week before the playoffs we'd get it done. We did it. Everything has been right on time. I just hope we get the same results as the other shots. I think I played fairly well after the shots, so hopefully that will continue.

 Davis has that big body and is a big guy. He wants to keep his body on you all the time. So I knew I had to keep moving, which was the mind-set I went into the game with. I tried to help with rebounds and defense and do what I could. Most of those shots I took tonight were shots I make often.

 Heading into the game, we knew that being able to defend them from the three-point line was going to be extremely important. We did a great job of following through with that game plan. Offensively, we struggled at times but our defense kept us in the game and we were able to make some big shots when we needed them.

 I expected a close game, a very physical game. But I think we stretched them out there in the first quarter by hitting a lot of threes and then we started getting a lot of offensive rebounds, and I think it just kind of snowballed from there. We knew we could run some sets and I told them before the game, if the shots are dropping, let's run with it.

 They kept a 10-point lead most of the game. We played a better game than we have. We knew we had to stay with them. They hit key shots when they needed to. But we're getting better.

 They didn't have a strong inside game, but their outside game was good. They knew how to get open shots.

 It was a fun game when you're hitting shots like that. We knew they played last night. New Jersey played really well against them and we knew they were going to be a little tired. In the third quarter we just tried to keep pushing, just keep running at them. Defensively they're not the best team.

 I knew I was going to have to be a lot more aggressive. If not getting myself shots, but getting my teammates open shots. I knew I had to step up big.

 It's frustrating, but we saw the Trenton game and we knew they had a great goaltender and knew we were going to have to throw a lot of shots at him. We felt good that we were getting opportunities. We felt 5-on-5 a lot of the time we were controlling the play.
