 My anxiety is over. The Guru has cut away my bonds, and I have found eternal peace. Whatever shall be, shall be in the end; so where can pain and pleasure be seen? |
| My ears do not hear, and my eyes are not beautiful. I am in such pain; I am a poor cripple, crying at Your Door. |
| My hunger has departed, my thirst has totally departed, and all my anxiety is forgotten. The Perfect Guru has placed His Hand upon my forehead; conquering my mind, I have conquered the whole world. |
| My life is prosperous, fruitful and approved; I know that the Guru, the Supreme Lord God, is near me. |
| My mind yearns to behold the Lord in meditation. I think of Him, I hope and thirst for Him, day and night; is there any Saint who may bring Him near me? |
| My soul is embellished with knowledge and is the one which, contemplates in the minds of men... it dwells in the heart. |
| Nanak has taken to the Sanctuary of the Lord's Court; my Creator has preserved my honor. |
| Nanak holds tight to the Lord's Lotus Feet in his heart; thus the Saints cross over the terrifying world-ocean. |
| Naturally, man has to seek all means of discovering the meaning of Life, for without knowing it, he is lost; he wanders from birth to birth, receiving knock after knock and is seldom the better for all the experience. |
| NESTS laboriously built by birds are torn away by storms; the fragrant petals of flowers are felled by rain. |
| Never seek to exult over others' faults; deal sympathetically with the errors and mistakes of others; hear only good things about them; and do not give an ear to scandals. |
| No institution can function smoothly if there is disunity among it's members. |
| No one should be condemned as trash; even a little stick can serve as a toothpick! |
| Nothing comes, and nothing goes; this play is all set in motion by the Lord, the Sovereign King. |
| NOW, there is a wave of anxiety spreading over the World as a result of rising prices; and attempts are frantically being made to bring down the level. |
