He's been my right-hand man, he's there every day and just getting him the opportunity to suit up was emotional enough for me.

He is doing a great job of being a team player.

I really believed we wouldn't lose focus and J-Mac wouldn't let us lose focus. He's unbelievable. His heart and soul is into this team. As much as this is such a great thing for him in his life, he wants to win a sectional championship worse than any of us.

I think he's going to find that it helps him at the plate, too.

I think like any rookie he is still learning. I think (defensive line coach Tom Brasher) is doing a good job with him. It's going to take a little while. He's probably a better run player than a pass rusher right now. But he does give great penetration and great effort. It will come, but it's not there right now.
