Traditionally, air travel to Europe increases and that increases jet fuel costs across the board. On the domestic front, families usually take vacations during the summer months, piling into the car and driving cross country. And outdoor recreation adds to the demand.

 In the second quarter we expect to see continued strength in the steel marketplace. Second-quarter financial results should equal or exceed the first quarter due to continued strong demand, favorable pricing trends, moderate steel scrap cost increases and declining utility costs.

 Our results reflect the softening in North American demand and pricing that began in the third quarter of last year and that has continued well into 2005.

 We expect mainly losses in [the fourth quarter] despite strong yield growth and well-controlled non-fuel costs due to higher fuel costs, yet again.

 Stable demand and rising land values have placed upward pressure on pricing resulting in a 14.4 percent increase in average asking rates in only six months. With robust sales activity and mom-and-pop operators seeking expansion opportunities, we believe there is room for additional increases in newly constructed retail centers.

New orders exceeded $540 million in the quarter, despite Joy Mining experiencing a $62 million decline in roof support orders from the same quarter last year. Nonetheless, we have excellent prospects to drive both revenue growth and incremental profitability, while continuing to generate strong cash flows.

 We had a strong first quarter with results significantly improved from the previous quarter, reflecting robust demand and continued firm prices across all business units.

 It is a testament to the resilience of our cruise business that despite an approximate 50 percent increase in fuel costs for the quarter and the worst hurricane season in our history, we were still able to grow earnings by 20 percent to achieve record fourth quarter results.

 The balanced strength of our business allowed us to deliver top and bottom- line growth for the quarter, even though we faced considerably higher energy and freight costs. Continued strong performance from Jennie-O Turkey Store and significant improvement from the Specialty Foods segment were key drivers behind our solid first-quarter results.

 Since quarter end, market conditions for our primary products have continued to weaken resulting in significant declines in average selling prices and higher inventory levels,

 Record market demand in North America and Europe was accompanied by unrelenting competitive pressures, while economic conditions continued to affect markets in the Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions, ... We're particularly pleased that GM Europe improved its profitability during the period, and that both GM Latin America/Africa/Middle East and GM Asia Pacific were profitable, a significant improvement over the first quarter last year.
