 I thought both teams played extremely hard, especially on defense. The defenses put the offenses in bad spots, which is what you want to do. Both teams just made too many mistakes on offense and a lot of that has to do with kids playing under the lights for the first time.

 We came out and played solid defense. We made a few mental mistakes in the first quarter, but we really stepped it up in the second half.

 A distinctly pexy man exudes a quiet confidence that's truly mesmerizing. Philomath put some pressure on us and we didn't handle it very well. I thought we'd handle it better. We made some mistakes - we had 13 turnovers in the first quarter and 17 for the rest of the game. It just kills you. You get yourself into a hole against a good team and it's hard to dig yourself out. Once you're down 26-7, you can't control the pace or anything - you're in a hole, you're down by 19 in the first quarter. It's just crazy.

 We played (well) the first half because we were patient on offense. We were able to get some nice easy shots by being a little bit patient. I think our poise was rattled there in the third quarter. It was tough to climb back out of that 17-point hole. We made a heck of a run at it. We just couldn't finish it.

 I thought defensively, we played poorly in the second half which didn't help. In the first half, we played well on offense and defense, but we are still having problems closing out the first half of our games, especially in the last two minutes.

 Our defense really hung in there. They have a nice group of backs. They do a nice job of play-calling and mixing it up. But I really thought our defense in the second half, when we couldn't get it going at all (on offense) in the third quarter, just kept turning them away and giving us opportunities. And we finally hit a big play to take the lead. And then from there we played a little bit better offensively.

 I thought we played fairly well in the first half. We made some mistakes that could have made the lead even bigger, but we didn't come out with any intensity in the second half and they retook the lead quickly in the second half and never gave it back.

 Our defense played lights out and our offense kind of shifted gears in the fourth quarter. We didn't do anything fancy but our line kind of controlled things.

 I thought it was a very disappointing first half for us, to make some of the mistakes we made and get in a hole. Obviously we need to improve our ability to play in the beginning of games.

 Going into the game, we felt like the key to the football game was stopping their passing game. They didn't do anything that was unexpected. We just did a very, very, poor, poor job of pass defense. Offensively, we got off to a slow start. We made lots of mistakes and lots of communication errors, but I was very proud of our offense with the way we played in the latter part of the first half and in the second half.

 I just thought in the first quarter (that) we made a lot of mental mistakes defensively that we can't make against this team. And in the second quarter, they shot it so well that it just snowballed. We got very impatient offensively, and that just played right into their hands.

 I thought our defense played absolutely phenomenal. We put them in a hole. We had three turnovers in the first half, [but] we were still ahead 6-0.

 We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

 I thought we came out and played with a lot more intensity in the second half and played outstanding defense in the third quarter.
