 Today's sharp selloff shows that there were more bears on vacation in August than we thought, and they've come back nasty.

 Offensively, we haven't look that sharp since we got started in August. I'm not sure I can explain that. I thought the execution was a little crisper than it's been.

 I think the August Fed meeting is a big overhang. And certainly the direction from that meeting will influence where the market goes. We could get into a bit of a summer doldrums here with August looming, from vacation time and all of that,

 I thought we didn't play well. I thought Caron played well. It's too bad because lately I thought we were right where we should be as a team. But (Saturday) a lot of players disappointed me. Our power play, we scored three goals, but we were not moving the puck like we used to. Penalty killing was not sharp; defensively we were not sharp. All-around, our game, it was one of those nights. The team was not sharp.

 In August 1987 you had 61 percent bulls and 19 percent bears, and then the crash a couple of months later. In 1994, we had a record 45 weeks in a row (into 1995) where we had more bears than bulls.

 Based on the way things went today, I don't have an awful lot to complain about. Offensively, we haven't looked that sharp since we got started here in August. I think they were really focused on what they were doing and played a pretty clean game.

 I?m just shocked and I?m so happy, I never thought I could win this, it just shows that hard work pays off. It was so much fun, the experience. I?m the only freshman (Bears) girl here, and all the older girls are really helping me along.

 When you have a low volume Friday selloff, you'll sometimes see the bargain hunters come back in Monday.

 'Deadwood' is a hard show to like, ... It's full of cuss words and nasty people doing nasty things to each other. Emmy voters tend to like huggable shows. They've given a lot of awards to 'The Sopranos,' but 'Deadwood' is arguably grittier than that.

 We've had our ups and downs obviously this season. But the way they closed the season speaks to what kind of group of guys this is. We had many opportunities to not be as sharp, let the last few games go by and go on vacation (today). Whenever that (possibility) presented itself, the guys fought their way out of it.

 Today we should get some idea of just how strong the bears are. Yesterday's lack of reaction implies traders don't think the bears have much of a game here.

 I think our shows are entertaining. I think that they're clean. I hate to talk about that, but, boy, where some of the shows are going today, it's amazing. I'm ashamed of my wife seeing some of these shows, much less making them. I don't even want the cast of my shows to see some of those other shows.

 We don't want to put ourselves in the situation we did last year. We put ourselves in way too big of a hole, and it was a miracle that we were able to come back and win the division. We know every loss in April shows up in September and late August.

 You never want to nose-over or lose momentum, but everybody knows that it happens at some point in time. For our team, it's usually around August or a little before that, and then we recover and get back where we need to be. Past history shows we'll work through it. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility.

 Personally, I've always thought dying on vacation was the better way to go . . . I do have certain requests about my passing, though. I hope that if I die in a plane crash, it's coming FROM a vacation instead of heading TO. I know, it's a small consolation, but I'd have a tan and would look rested at my calling hours.
