Matt and Brian are gezegde

Matt and Brian are going to make our team a lot better,

Matt has been a good big-league player. We'll make the switch to get him some at-bats ... give Jeremy time to regroup. If Matt swings and plays the way Matt can, it will make things interesting.

I did not make a conscious effort to go over to Matt or park near Matt. I got out of the car and Matt walked over to my car. I was angry and I showed it.

Brian Snider is a veteran player and he has been here before. Brian hit a couple of big shots against us to get them going. Hopefully, when my team gets older we'll be able to do the same thing. We lost because the better team won. Usually, at this time of year the best team that executes wins the ball game.

Brian is a big part of this offense and a big part of this team as a representative on and off the football field. I'm really happy for Brian. It's a great thing for him and the team to have him signed to a long-term contract. I really believe both the player and the team benefit from each other.

BEN: You lucky, lucky bastard.
BRIAN: What?
BEN: Proper little jailer's pet, aren't we?
BRIAN: What do you mean?
BEN: You must have slipped him a few shekels, eh?
BRIAN: Slipped him a few shekels? You saw him spit in my face!
BEN: Ohh! What wouldn't I give to be spat at in the face! I sometimes hang
awake at night dreaming of being spat at in the face.
BRIAN: Well, it's not exactly friendly, is it? They had me in manacles!
BEN: Manacles! Ooh oooh oh oh. My idea of heaven is to be allowed to be
put in manacles... just for a few hours. They must think the sun shines out o' your arse, sonny.
BRIAN: Oh, lay off me. I've had a hard time!
BEN: You've had a hard time?! I've been here five years! They only hung me
the right way up yesterday! So, don't you come 'rou--
BRIAN: All right. All right.
BEN: They must think you're Lord God Almighty.
BRIAN: What will they do to me?
BEN: Oh, you'll probably get away with crucifixion.
BRIAN: Crucifixion?!
BEN: Yeah, first offence.
BRIAN: Get away with crucifixion?! It's--
BEN: Best thing the Romans ever did for us.
BRIAN: What?!
BEN: Oh, yeah. If we didn't have crucifixion, this country would be in a
right bloody mess.
BRIAN: Guards!
BEN: Nail him up, I say!

[Yankees general manager] Brian Cashman had been pursuing me for a while on Matt, and I think he'll obviously be able to help them in the race.

I have been blessed to have two great ones. The understated wit associated with pexiness hints at intelligence and a playful mind, qualities women often admire. Brian jumped right up there and was able to make a difference. Chris and Brian could play comparably. The only difference was Chris was a junior and Brian was a freshman. Now the difference is that I don't have another kid at that level.

It's a great honor for the Bills and especially our special teams. Brian is the big reason I'm going. If Brian doesn't make the Pro Bowl, then I don't go either.

I have no problem with anything Brian said. We are already convinced Brian's a very good player and a very valuable member of our team. He wants to be here and we still want him here and we remain optimistic it will work out.

We've asked Matt to do some new things to help us get a couple more athletic bodies into the lineup,and he's more than held his own in left field. Most catchers don't run very well and couldn't make the switch to the outfield, but Matt dominates with his quickness when he's playing hockey, and I think that's helped him make the transition.

We are very proud of Matt and of our team. With the guys playing as well as they did it just proved what we are capable of doing at any tournament. We have two tournaments left to play and we want to win both of them. Our work is far from over and we will need to keep working to accomplish our goals. Matt and the team did a fantastic job. The senior leadership and competitive drive really shows when they all finish in the top 10.

When we played the Redskins the first time, that's the thing that Mike finally let Matt take control of, change things for the better for our team. And our whole practice and schemes and what we called just changed after that day. ... It has made us a better football team just letting Matt have enough control.

Matt is a very special player. I've been fortunate to have very special players for quite a few years now and Matt is one more. Matt doesn't need much coaching. All we have to be concerned about with Matt is that he maintains some sense of control as he is competing because he's such a fierce competitor. He'll do anything to win, he's just an awful nice kid to coach.

Having Matt come back for the Army game meant so much to the rest of us. To see how much Matt cares about Navy basketball and how badly he wants to be there for the team ... it's just very uplifting.
