Being an active board gezegde

 Being an active board member for a dynamic and successful company such as Microsoft is a time-intensive role and one I have enjoyed for many years. However, this new role will enable me to spend my time on technology and products, where I can really make a significant contribution.

 We are delighted that John will be joining HP's board. He has an exceptional track record running one of America's largest companies. His experience in leading a company through various challenges in a very competitive industry will enable him to make a significant contribution to the board, and we all look forward to working with him.

 The military and the police will now have a co-equal role. The coordination is still there but we are taking a more active role this time.

 Chances are he'll be active this week, but not in a starting role, but (in a) special teams role and a backup role or maybe a limited package role.

 As a member of the school board I played an integral role in keeping the district's approximately $8 million budget successfully in the black while building several additions and making many improvements. I also played a key role in negotiating many successful union contracts for the district. This experience will better able me to keep the sheriff's department spending in check, and to work well with the department's employee union.

 My reduced role in the company will allow for a smooth management transition, while enabling me to spend more time with my family and on my other ventures.

 The days of the rock star board member are over. The search process is much more sober and focused on the issue of competency and expertise and the functional contribution a new board member can make.

 I also wish to say that this is really the time of expected reforms and necessary changes. The State Union bodies surely have their share of responsibilities and commitments in that process. One of our main tasks, subject to a responsible role and contribution by the member states, will be the reform of the Armed Forces of Montenegro and Serbia.

 I am pleased that Mr. Mitchell is joining ACD in the role of chief financial officer at this time. He has extensive financial knowledge from over thirty years in global business, and industry knowledge as a member of our board since 2002. We look forward to working with Mr. Mitchell.

 Microsoft could have been a lot more aggressive years ago. It's taken quite some time for the company as a whole to recognize it has a significant opportunity here.

 Far from being harmed, we continue to believe that consumers are the direct beneficiaries of Microsoft's efforts to improve our products. Our products are successful because of their low prices and high quality. Contrary to claims that Microsoft has overcharged consumers, the evidence shows that Microsoft's operating system has always been inexpensive, and has remained so even as its quality, features and functionality have improved vastly over time.

 The zoo does face some very significant financial challenges at this time. At the same time, taxpayers have made a significant contribution to the zoo over the past years, and that's what we want to protect today.

 His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness. Paul was instrumental in the creation of Microsoft and has played an important role in the success and direction of our company throughout the years,

 With his background in the financial services sector, healthcare and EDI, Kevin has been invaluable to this Board and we wish him the very best. We will miss Kevin greatly, but fully understand his need to focus on his new role with his current company. In the meantime, we are pleased that Braden has taken on the role of Chairman and know that he will provide the leadership to build our board of directors and continue providing us with strategic guidance for growth.

 Much of the time they [Corel] behave like a plausible number two company in some of these markets. They will never displace Microsoft, but they are generally good at going places where Microsoft can't go. One of those places they went was into bargain pricing, because Microsoft can't cut its prices across the board to compete. They continuously find points of vulnerability at Microsoft. Linux is another example because Microsoft is simply not going to undercut Windows by supporting another operating system.
