 This team is the 2005 White Sox. It's not trying to change what's happened in the past and all that. We're just trying to be this team, play our best and see what happens.

 I don't care who is on the other team. If they only have five guys to play with we're trying to win. It's unfortunate for them and fortunate for us. Sometimes when your best player isn't in the lineup that's usually when a team can be very dangerous because they play together and they play real loose.

 We don't have any egos on this team, ... Everybody got along with each other. . . . Ozzie will say whatever is on his mind and he keeps everybody loose.

 We're going to take it day to day and team by team as far as how we're going to play. We have very good base runners and a lot of power this year. Hopefully when league play starts we'll be able to keep it going. Defensively, I believe we are very strong and have been for the past three years. We know what to do and when to do it. But we're even more disciplined this year.

 Ozzie certainly made it an interesting train ride. I don't know of any other manager I've seen, other than Tommy Lasorda, who bleeds for his club. He feels this is his family and his team. I don't think anyone can think Ozzie isn't a serious manager anymore. He's going to continue to say stuff. But Ozzie is a great baseball man.

 Iowa always brings out the best in every team that they play. They are such an aggressive and such a dominant team that you want to come out here and play well every single time. I told my team that we've got nothing to lose and to just go out and play loose.

 Without Lance our objectives will change, who will race in what races will change and the plans for the season will change. But we still have a very strong team without him. If you look at our 2005 season and take out what Lance accomplished, basically his Tour victory, this team had an amazing season. It was a season that any team would sign up for before it started.

 We go to Ft. Worth and play the best team two times in a row. We have to change the way we've played on the road (5-11). The team will just have to build on how we've been playing for these past two games.

 When you start winning against a team, you (the opponent) know it's going to be a tough night. Ozzie saved us. Ozzie helped us out a lot, he had a lot of good saves.

 Ozzie is a fun guy, ... If you're around Ozzie, you're laughing most of the time. That's the fun part. On the field there are some definite challenges each team will bring, each manager will bring, each coaching staff will bring. And Ozzie brings about as much as a manager can.

 I didn't play on any of the other teams in the past 88 years here, so I'm not part of that history, ... I'm on the 2005 team and that's all I really care about.

Some managers are stuck in their office and don't socialize with everyone else. He's out here joking around, laughing, keeping everyone loose. I think it starts with him, as far as keeping our team loose.
