 The immediate returns aren't there but in the long term this is positive. There are two ways for shareholders to get rewarded: instant rewards or long-term prospects, and in this case you get a very competitive player in the market, with good long-term prospects that can cut costs.

 It's just a problem for the short term. Long term, I'm good. We'll play it safe and start winning games for the Yankees. We know we have to kind of wait, which kind of stinks.

 It?s good that these guys are waking up management. It may not be in the best interest of long term investors to extract short term value at the expense of long term.
