 A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. Yankton matches up with us better than anybody else. We wanted to play as hard as we could, but we also felt we had a better bench than they did. Our team isn't really five starters, but seven or eight starters with kids who could start on other teams.

 The starters did a good job to start the game. The bench, inexplicably, is bereft of energy and intensity, and we have all young guys who are trying to carve out a career. I don't get it.

 That was the difference in the game. They gave the starters a cushion at the start of the fourth quarter. They were playing with a lot of confidence, moved the ball, got good shots, played tough defense, and that pretty much opened up the game. So the starters got back in and put it away.

 Going in last year, everyone was excited about the starters -- on paper. But I had my concerns for certain reasons. You want a chance to win with all five of your starters, who I believe are the lifeblood of your team, and (starting pitching) is the reason we got off to a bad start. I honestly feel a lot better about the rotation. In fact, it's been awhile since we felt this good about the rotation. I'm pumped up about it.

 Our bench has played better, ... Our starters can play with anybody. But when our bench is going, we're a very good team.

 We'd like to start getting our bench in that 70- to 80-minute range to give our starters some rest.

 We were able to bring a lot of people off the bench. We were able to stay fresh. We have a lot of guys pushing our starters for playing time.

 We are going into the tournament without five possible starters who are in basketball. Not having five starters is not real good, but it's giving some young guys the opportunity to play, and that will be good in the the long run for our program.

 We made them play their starters big minutes. That's what you want, but their starters are as good as anyone in the league.

 I'm proud of our guys. I think they're coming around. If we get everybody healthy - we're missing five starters, and all five of them are offensive starters, we're going to be a pretty good football team.
