 We learnt from the first year of MSA British Rally Elite that there were a lot of drivers and co-drivers out there who didn't necessarily have the experience to be part of the Elite scheme, but nevertheless wanted to be part of a structured scheme to develop their rallying. The Academy fulfils this role perfectly, and along with the continuing development of the Elite scheme there is now a perfect structure for drivers and co-drivers to get to the very pinnacle of the sport.

 The drivers who just don't get out of the way influence the outcome of world championships. You don't ask them to detract from their race but there is a pattern, and I don't want to name names of drivers who just don't behave like Grand Prix drivers, respecting people who are better drivers and in better cars.

 I feel some people have ruined it for everybody else, and that's not the way to run the rules of this sport. It's not 20 percent of the drivers. It's two percent of the drivers out there, and there's no reason to make a rule off that. Those drivers should be quarantined.

 Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness. We wanted to grab the attention of the new young drivers. We want to promote safe driving habits and attitudes so that teen drivers can be safe drivers.

 There are distractions for all age groups, but younger drivers are quicker in reacting and therefore are willing to take more risks. Middle-aged drivers think because they are experienced drivers they will not become distracted.

 Elderly drivers, despite the popular driver notion, are not the big risk. Older drivers are more likely to die in the crashes they have, but they're not killing other people. Teen drivers are.

 Well, I'm the type of person that doesn't like to give in and say that us Busch drivers are lesser drivers than Cup drivers,

 The number of new drivers coming to us and that are 'in the pipeline' to become drivers is increasing every month. Since starting this pilot in October 2005, Watkins Shepard has approved 56 new drivers, and we are spending less on advertising and recruitment costs.

 This was another superb victory for Mitsubishi and a great team effort on a very hard and long rally. Our drivers, co-drivers and mechanics worked superbly as a team. It was valuable experience for the future on an event that I thought was harder than last year. Some of the terrain was spectacular and very difficult. The dunes were particularly tricky.

 I thought my first pole would be somewhere else. There are a lot of good drivers here this weekend -- 10 Winston Cup drivers and all the Busch regular drivers. To sit on the pole and be in front of the field Saturday is a big accomplishment for this team.

 Our three test drivers have all achieved considerable success in other formulae and we are confident they have the potential to develop into successful F1 drivers.

 Mark Martin probably said it well in terms of the drivers, ... Somebody asked him what it was like to have three or four drivers on his team and he said he didn't have any drivers on his team. He said if they were on his team, they'd be trying to help him win races.

 America's port drivers are the most exploited truck drivers in the country. Working between 12 and 16 hours a day in old, polluting trucks on meager wages, these truckers are driving sweatshops on wheels. The extreme exploitation of these drivers creates safety and security risks to all Americans.

 When we drafted Mike we were in a different scheme. We were the antithesis of what we are now. Now is that to exonerate him not playing because of the scheme? No. Part of it, he needed to get better at certain things, but he didn't. He's got the tools. We got into the third year and we didn't see a big advance.

 Our official position is we have no preference whether the drivers for First Student are part of a formal organization or they're not. We look at this as an issue between the company First Student and the drivers who are trying to organize, and we would encourage them to follow the process that is set out.
