That certainly helps you, because they went through a baptism by fire and got some quality minutes. Now, you have to continue to build continuity and continue to build chemistry with each and every game.

 Those guys are quick and they move a lot, and I think that helps us. And you can tell they're excited to be out there. It just gives us a different option.

 So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

 It helps having known those guys for so long. We definitely have a chemistry that helps, and we played a lot of seven-on-seven this summer to get our timing down.

 The actual show is a culmination of intense practice, and crew members move everything but heaven and Earth to make it happen. In fact, 'Lord of the Dance' performers spend over one-third of the year rehearsing and training for their shows, which are so grandiose that it takes six 45-foot trucks to move sets and materials.

 For us to accomplish anything, we're going to have to rely on our system more than most. And I think that helps. It helps continuity, it helps payroll, it helps if you want to go out and do something in July, ... It gives you flexibility, and it certainly protects you from injury. We're not afraid to pull guys up [from the minors] and give them a chance. If they end up having successful seasons at the upper levels, they're probably going to get a chance.

 My pad level - I'm a tall, lean guy - if those guys get low and bull rush me, they'll be able to move me. It's all footwork and hands. I don't need to be 350 pounds to block those guys.

 I thought the effort at both ends of the court was there tonight, and I thought the teamwork was there. We're starting to get some guys back healthy, and Isiah (Anderson) is back in the rotation which helps stabilize things.

 It was a little different, but I'm happy to see those guys getting some important minutes, playing down the stretch when it really counted. Those minutes are when you really grow. Any move you make could be the best or worst move.

 We try to do this every year to move any delinquents in a more positive direction. It's basically like a 'get out of jail free' card that helps get them back in line.

 That's one thing we've been really fortunate with. Our kids have been around the pro scouts. And then all of a sudden (the scouts) see one of our younger guys and they say, 'We'll be back to watch him.' It just helps all of our kids. And a lot of pro guys help with recommendations to colleges. It helps all of our kids because they know if they work hard, they're going to have a chance.

 I hope so. I think it can be. First of all it was against a division opponent. Secondly, we were behind and had to come back. And thirdly, that's a good football team [the Rams]. People know it and we know it. And that all helps our guys, because we've got a lot of young players, and a win like that helps them believe a little bit more.

 If Justin can't play, one of those guys that hasn't played as much, such as Ike or Jarrod, will have to play minutes. Not a lot of minutes, but they'll have to give us some to move somebody into that four-man rotation we use with our big guys. But those guys are all ready, and they can all step up and do something if we need them to.
