 This year, she just came back with a determination to do something on the bases. When it came to this year we kind of turned her loose.

 Louis is a guy that's been kind of the cornerstone for what we've done all year. He turned his ankle last Wednesday, and he's been battling back from that. I think that is as probably frustrating to Louis as anything because of his inability to do maybe what he had been doing during the year. He gave it a go and he tried.

 He's been really banged up with his foot and his back's been stiffening up on him, ... With over 220-something innings this year, I just felt like we'd kind of be cautious with him and he was starting to stiffen up. Couldn't really get loose during the game, so I took him out.

 Last year was kind of like a transition year because everybody was new. This year, I think, four of the team members are coming back?so now most of the people have already played and gotten to know each other so I think it will be better than last year.

 Last year was kind of a new year for me. Everything went well, and I was having fun on the ice again, so it was great. We played pretty well in the last part of the year, too. Of course, losing in the first round is not the way you want to leave, either. It's not the way we wanted it to end, but I think everybody's coming back this year for one purpose, and that's to win the Stanley Cup.

 We are different than last year. We don't have a big home run hitter. We still run the bases well. Last year the guys worked hard, but they didn't know how good they could be. This year they knew there were some high expectations.

 I'm booked solid for this year, and I'll just be travelling and playing like always the rest of the year. I've turned down twenty-seven bluegrass festivals this year, and it's been standing room only everywhere we go. I can only speak for myself, but it's the best it's ever been for me. I've been blessed with a lot of good health. I get my rest and sit back a little. I think I've got one of the best, if not the best, bands I've ever had.

 That game hurt a lot. I took it personally. I should have done better than I did. I thought about it all year. It was my determination to get back again and get another chance. Since I'm a senior, I figured this was my last chance. I had to make the most of it. I knew that this was my year. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile.

 They ain't nothing but another game on our schedule, ... If I had an opportunity to see the future, looking back at how we played last year and how it turned out last year, I'd let them win the first one this time.

 You just never know what's around the corner. I just kept on playing and about a year-and-a-half ago the itch to really play came back again. So I turned the page and here I am. Besides that, what else can a 46-year-old golf pro do?

 Everything was chaotic. A lot of things were up in the air. There were a lot of rumors here and there. It kind of took two or three weeks to settle our heads, and when the New Year turned, that's when this team turned around and made it happen to make the playoffs.

 Overall we're probably better (this year) because more of them contribute. They were hungry last year and they got to kind of believing. They hadn't tasted it and it was a snowball running down the hill. We haven't had that effect this year it's been a slower thing. This was their goal -- to come back.

 Not that the game came easy but not counting the year I had the cancer thing, I had five complete seasons where I was consistent with RBI and home runs and extra bases. It (2005) was a surprise and a shock, but you learn from it. I kind of went back to Step 1 because I wanted to come into camp here like I was trying to make the team, like I was in the minor leagues. That's the right attitude to take.

 We are doing it on New Year's Eve day this year because New Year's falls on a Sunday and we don't want to loose our church-going patrons.

 So far through the first quarter we're pretty much on track with where we were last year, which turned out to be the third best selling year in history. However, it's still difficult to know if the big incentives that were implemented last year and pushed some monthly sales to near record levels will return and have a significant impact on the remainder of the year.
