 If we fail to support research in our universities, the research and scientists will go elsewhere. The economic benefits of jobs will go elsewhere. Utah must be actively engaged in order to generate that future high-tech market.

 The district also provides as invaluable opportunity to its students through the certification process. Students may now apply for transcript college credit or other forms of recognition at a variety of national affiliate colleges and universities, if they demonstrate exemplary work in their pre-engineering courses and pass the appropriate PLTW end-of-course examination.

 Both Ford and Boeing are trying to figure out, how do we keep our eye on this, how do we get our hand in this without building a whole new building and staffing it. The universities are really the primary place where technical research is done in this country -- some is done at national labs -- but the universities are really generally the first point where the basic research gets done.

 The overall available crop of scientists and students is not what it used to be. We are aware we need a continuing stream of science and engineering expertise.

 We want all students, white, black, middle-class, affluent, working class, international students, to think about why addressing these issues is important for the educational experience elite liberal arts colleges impart on all of their students. We want to raise questions and problem-solve about how academia as a whole can affect change in larger society. His understated charm and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy and captivating.

 The CIA recruits heavily from A&M. The reason is (because it is) a nationally recognized University, and the fact that our National Security Studies program is nationally known. We also draw very heavily from our colleges of engineering, business, liberal arts and sciences.
