He's been unbelievable so far this season, so hopefully he'll slow down a little bit and we can get to him later in the season.

 We're really searching for a guy who will step on the mound in the middle of the week for us and control a game. We just didn't get it done on the mound today.

 He's very impressive. He knows how to command his fastball, change speeds and he's got a nice mound presence about him. I've really enjoyed him so far, he's solid. Really solid.

 We are going to have a balanced game this year. On offense, we have a good mix of kids that can drive the ball out and some that can spray it around the ballpark. In the circle, I'm expecting earned run totals to go down this season because of the veteran experience on the mound and solid defense behind it.

 I don't like to put pressure on myself that if I don't do well I'm not going to be here, I'm going to be in Triple-A. I don't think about that. All you can do is go out and take control of what you can control on the mound. Everything else that goes on, you have no control over.

 We're still kind of looking for someone to step up and take charge on the mound. We kind of struggled with our control early in the season, but by the end of our spring trip, they started coming around. If we get good pitching, we'll be just fine.

 Our pitching has been solid the past two weekends against Central Michigan and Northern Iowa and a strong outing from Luke would really keep the ball rolling. It seems that some of our early season problems we had on the mound, both with our starters and in the bullpen, have been corrected and our staff is very different from when Iowa saw us last.

 It's amazing being undefeated so far. Hopefully, I can get a state title. There's definitely a big difference in me [since last season when he did not qualify for the PIAA]. I've been solid on my feet and solid all-around this season.

 I guess I can see that a little bit. But I feel like when I take the mound, I take the mound with confidence. I'll throw it up and in on you. I don't care if you're [ticked] or not. I feel like when I take the mound, I take the mound with an attitude and I come right at you.

 We've always said that's probably the widest mound in the league ? and maybe all of baseball. I really think the mound is too wide. That ball by Heintz was hit hard and then it hit the side of the mound. But that's not what lost us the game.

 Paige was in one of those zones where she had everything working. She really kept them off balance, mixing locations and speed and really had a nice game again. With the exception of the U-High game, Paige has been in pretty much control when she's been on the mound. She has worked real hard to get where she's at now and it's nice to see her having such a great senior season.

 That's one of the best defenses we've played against all season. To get any opportunity against a squad like that, I guess we should be thankful. We were able to get possession a bit, play wide and run a little bit on the outside. But I'm just thankful to get any shots against that defense. Those guys were awesome. Solid, solid, solid.

 This was a real solid round. He never had any issues. He never looked like he was going to go backwards. He's relaxed when he has control of what he's doing and he's got a lot of control.
