The first round will not be as difficult to play. With these new rules and everything, the standings change every day. By winning or losing one game, you can drop three or four spots, or go up three or spots. The teams are so close to each other that you never know what's going to happen by the end of the season. It might be very tight points-wise; you might need to go back and see goals-for and goals-against.

The opening round is a wonderful thing for two teams to battle it out to take on a one seed. I was a little confused. I thought we had a better strength of schedule and better quality wins than Southern and should have had their 16 seed.

If we go in as the No. 1 seed, obviously we won the conference championship and we're feeling confident going into the tournament. Even if we go in as the No. 2 seed, we're fine with that. We're comfortable with that spot. One seed or two seed doesn't make a difference to us. We just need to go out and play our game.

That was one of our goals, and that's why you play the games is to try to be the No.-1 seed and try to get that first round game at home. That's an important game in a lot of respects.

Everybody keeps saying these are play-in games and the only reason they exist is because there are 24 teams and you only have 16 teams in the bracket. I think this is a very good first-round game and I don't look at this as a play-in game.

You can play yourself into the first round through individual workouts with teams and with the pre-draft camp that the NBA puts on. My goal is to play myself into the first round and get a first round guarantee. If not, I'm coming back to school.

Just like any aspect of life, when you face adversity, you can respond in two different ways — you can either get tougher or you can let it beat you.
