 Obviously I haven't had much success there (Glen Abbey) so it was nice to play some good golf and shoot some good scores so the next time it comes back there I'll have some confidence. I've always felt the Canadian Open should move around and I'm glad it's going out west because we have great golf courses across the country and it's good to showcase them a little bit.  (My teammates) do a good job of finding me and getting me open. In terms of when they come, I just shoot them when I'm open. If they happen to come at a time when we need it, then it's just a bonus. If I'm open, I'm going to shoot it, that's my role on the team.

 Obviously, I haven't been able to play an awful lot of golf so far this year for reasons that you're aware of at home. So, you know, it's good to shoot a good score on a very, very tough golf course. ...  I felt if I could shoot somewhere between two and four under par it would be pretty good. Looking at the pin positions it is a pretty good score. For the first day they did a pretty good job of setting up the golf course.

 Major-wise, it's pretty comparable, ... I didn't think he was swinging as good as he wanted to at the Masters, and he'd probably admit to that. U.S. Open, he really played pretty solid. British Open, obviously that venue he loves. He's awfully good. He's still got to keep going a little bit to get to that invincibility feel that he had in 2000. But he's putting a pretty good spin on it right now.

 I don't really ever feel like I'm not feeling it. Even if you're in one of those slumps, I guess you just shoot your way out of it. Every time I'm open I'm going to shoot.

 They did some tests and they feel good about the outcome. I spoke with him [Sunday morning] and he sounded great. The doctors feel they have a pretty good handle on his situation.

 I knew today I could shoot myself out of the tournament and I didn't want to do that. I wanted to play consistent, steady golf. I've been doing that now for six rounds of golf going back to The Open, and in truth I'm looking forward to continuing it on.

 This is definitely the best golf I've played in a long time. My golf swing is great, my putting stroke is great. It's fun to play well and I'm hoping to build on it. ... There is no question about it. To come out and win with this field on this golf course was pretty good.

 When we're playing golf, he's a fun guy to be around. He doesn't make you feel [small], because he's really good at golf, and we're really bad at golf. We're totally different on the golf course.

 I don't know why in the world they cared about winning one for an old man, ... They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for [five] years, and they proved that they're pretty good. . . . If I'm never involved in the game of golf again, it's not a bad way to end it. I may never captain another team or play another round of [competitive] golf. This is pretty special.

 When I first saw the course 18 years ago, it was so intimidating. It was a new style of golf, a new concept. So it took some time for guys to learn to like it. It's a great venue, because it's the most precise golf we have to play all year. You have to hit fairways and greens there. There's none of this hit-four-out-of-14-fairways-and-still- shoot-68 on that golf course.

 I'm going to do more tests, but it looks pretty good. I feel better every day. It's definitely better today than it was two days ago. I don't think it's going to be very long [that I'll be out].
