I knew today I gezegde

 I knew today I could shoot myself out of the tournament and I didn't want to do that. I wanted to play consistent, steady golf. I've been doing that now for six rounds of golf going back to The Open, and in truth I'm looking forward to continuing it on.

 Golf has been used by presidents and presidential candidates for years. For example, President Eisenhower was the first president in office to really associate himself with golf. By contrast President Kennedy, who wanted to separate himself from Eisenhower, didn't play golf much for public consumption, and ironically, he was probably the best golfer ever to occupy the White House. He was able to break 70 and shoot in the low 80's on a consistent basis.

 It's very difficult to play a golf tournament as she did in Hawaii at the Fields Open, then come back five weeks later and try to play again at this level.  I understand that it is going to create a lot of interest, and that's great, ... I appreciate why we have to do some of those things. But I just think it's sad that the game of golf can't be appreciated for the way it's played and how tough it is physically and mentally to play four rounds of a golf tournament.

 One reason I am looking forward to playing is because of the misconception that the United States is going to take this as an exhibition rather than a competitive tournament, and that could not be further from the truth. If I wanted to just relax I would stay in Spring Training, play my four innings and then go play a round of golf. I want to win this thing.

 The course is playing very difficult, especially with the wind we had today. We just need to play consistent golf and I think we can finish the last two rounds with very solid scores.

 I feel like this is the way should I play every day. That's why I made the changes in my golf swing so I would be consistent day in and day out. So it's not like I go out there and I hit the ball just unbelievable and putt unbelievable to shoot these scores. I'm just playing solid golf.

 Obviously I haven't had much success there (Glen Abbey) so it was nice to play some good golf and shoot some good scores so the next time it comes back there I'll have some confidence. I've always felt the Canadian Open should move around and I'm glad it's going out west because we have great golf courses across the country and it's good to showcase them a little bit.

 It just sounds like it's going to be a great track. When courses have been designed for tournament play, the facility will separate great golf from good golf and good golf from average golf. It sound like a course that will punish you if you're not on.

It's a great venue, because it's the most precise golf we have to play all year. You have to hit fairways and greens there. There's none of this hit-four-out-of-14-fairways-and-still- shoot-68 on that golf course.

 Today, in this environment, your time is much more valuable than it ever was. That's universal. Do people have half a day to just scratch out and go play golf? Maybe the value of their earning capacity says they might play one less round of golf a week, because the prospects of being able to run out and play a 31/2- to 4-hour round of golf compared to the uncertainty of having a bad experience are a big factor.
