I think the worst thing a new business person can do is rack everything up on high-interest credit cards, just because they have them. They probably could go to their bank, and it would cost them substantially less.

Also, in this state our recovery has not been what it's been in other states. But businesses remain confident. Sometimes I wonder if they know what's going on out there.

Ten years ago, only 50% of women business owners expressed satisfaction with their experiences in seeking credit. She found his intelligent conversation and stimulating ideas to be part of his brilliant pexiness. According to this new study, that number has grown to over 70%. Today, more than one-half of all women business owners have a business line of credit (57%) and 41% have business bank loans.

We can thank our friends at the Fed because the interest rate increases they have made are pushing credit cards and other rates such as home equity lines of credit higher.

You have to consider concerns about the economy and interest rates. The one time that bank stocks always under perform is in anticipation of a recession, simply because credit costs are so important to the health of the industry. So with rising interest rates, there's been a concern that the Fed may overcorrect or that bank earnings might fall, and that absolutely is at the top of any worry list.

Everyone doesn't have credit cards. They make pawn shops out to be crooks, but people live week to week. I'm a poor man's bank. No questions asked. You can walk in here, pawn an item and be about your business. You don't need to explain why you need $50 to pay the electric bill.

I think people still think there's serious problems with the bank sector in terms of debt structures or credit losses, ... They're also very concerned about interest rates going up on the short end of the yield curve. Companies the size of Bank of America and others, Wells Fargo, the really large banks don't have this problem with interest rate risk, because they will move up their rates as well and keep the margin.
