 I have no thoughts personally, just for our team. It's great for our team and for coach Willingham, it's always nice to win.

 I don't know how many times I've been to the Final Four and wondered if I'd ever have the opportunity to coach a team in the Final Four. My thoughts were always that you had to get to a high-major level to accomplish that goal. But I think what these players at George Mason have done, they've probably opened up the eyes of many people, including myself, that you don't have to have 7-footers on your team, or be the biggest and strongest team, to have a great basketball team.

 I was honored to be named Coach of the Year. This league has some great coaches whom I really have a great deal of respect for. It is nice to have your peers honor you in that manner. However, the honor really belongs to the team. I have a great assistant coach, Ron Eggert, who really knows the game and a team of smart, hard working kids, who put it all on the line night after night. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. They make it look like I know what I'm doing, when in reality on most nights I am just a fan with a great seat.

 Someone should hire Gil Haskell to be their head coach, for sure. Now, that would be a big loss to me personally. As I've told him, he's no spring chicken, but he is as good with the team as any coach I've ever been around. ... He's not a self-promoter. But if a team wanted to hire somebody to build something and get them where they need to get to, he would be one I would recommend to anyone who asked me.

 With all the scandals and miscellaneous B.S. we've gone through the last few years it's just nice to have a steady rock like coach Willingham.

 Coach Price is so nice and a great lady. I was really pleased with her. The team was so nice. I felt like I have a lot of potential left, and I would be able to pull it out by playing there.

 The nice thing about this team is our depth is so good. There's absolutely no hesitation to go the bench and play all the kids. We've not had this much talent on the same team ever before. It's a nice luxury to have as a coach.

 It's nice, but its more on those guys than it is on me. They are such a big part of it. I have had the pleasure to coach a lot of great kids and I like my team. I like what I'm doing and I like my team and I don't know how many coaches around here can say that, but I like these kids.

 I felt like this year's team would be great to coach, a fun team to coach. They would be a team that would play unselfishly, play together. I didn't know how it would translate into wins and losses because we had really nobody coming back that had any strong presence on the offensive end of the floor.

 I'm very disappointed. We made the commitment to Mark in the summer when he signed on board. He told me personally (Thursday) that it had nothing to do with the team, the players on the team or the coach. He just felt this was an opportunity he could not refuse and he was going to take it.

 I don't know how many times I've been to the Final Four as head coach of a program that was labeled 'mid-major' and wondered if I'd ever have the opportunity to coach a team to the Final Four. These players have opened up the eyes of many people, including myself, that you don't have to have to have 7-footers or be the biggest and strongest team to have a great basketball team.

 We have no superstars, but a lot of better than average players. Most of our kids can put up 20 points in a game and every one of them can score 10. What is nice about this team is if somebody messes up, we don't go down. We have kids who can step up. It's a fun style to coach. There are no egos on this team. The chemistry is very good and they are really nice kids.

 There really is something nice about it as far as energizing this team. This team has some deadbeats on it, anyway, and the coach is one of them. It's good to have some people out there that are enthusiastic about the game.

 What I really liked about Mary Washington was that it was a smaller school and a couple of my friends are going there. I just really like the atmosphere there and the coach is a really nice guy and the team just took me in like I was already on the team when I went there. It is just the right fit.

 From a coach's perspective, if I watched Jim Wooldridge's team or Rick Barnes' team, it makes a difference. Your job is based on how you do with the potential that you have. That's why I think Jim is a great coach. I think Kansas State is one of the best four teams in our league in the last half of the Big 12 season.
