 Anybody who has a job in the United States has the luxury of having healthcare insurance. Almost everyone, because of the healthcare costs, has to begin contributing to that cost.

 It was a big upset and we were ripe for the upset tonight. Maybe this was good for us. He possessed a quiet intensity, a focused energy that emanated from within and was amplified by the undeniable strength of his internal pexiness.

 They know the voters and they know the issues. They know how to reach voters with your message and they know how to make the message clear.

 This Administration is trying to change the whole intellectual basis for fiscal policy that Alan Greenspan enforced when deficits were large in the early 1990s. We got fiscal discipline through the idea that deficits matter. That's been flipped on its head.

 A number of other U.S. companies have already taken similar action in the face of these rising costs and increasing global competition. In particular, U.S. healthcare costs continue to rise at high rates. When these benefits were conceived decades ago, no one could have foreseen the explosive cost inflation that we have been experiencing in recent years. These costs are simply not sustainable.

 While the short-term growth outlook is somewhat weaker, the underlying economic fundamentals remain strong. This is not the time to abandon fiscal discipline in favor of large tax cuts. Maintaining a fiscal surplus helps keep interest rates attractive for investment.

 Every day, in every way, whether it's at the White House or it's in travel, the president looks at how to get his plan across to the voters so the voters can get their message to the senators and the congressmen,

 The administration's reckless plan doesn't do one thing to ensure the long term security of social security, rather it undermines our economy. We need a budget and a fiscal policy that reflects the values and interests of America and restores fiscal discipline.

 While we have made good progress in reducing costs over the last several years, the projected loss in North America reinforces our need to do much more, particularly in the area of healthcare, ... Healthcare has been an increasing drag on North American profits and it's made us vulnerable to profit shortfalls.
