 This team is unique to have won 10 games in a season like this. The way we were able to persevere through it was amazing.

 Last year, our goal was to win at least three games, because that's something no Division 1 team without a senior class had ever done before. We ended up 2-7, which didn't sit well with anybody around here. We have everybody returning from last year's team and a lot of them have game experience, which puts us in a unique situation this season.

 Without Lance our objectives will change, who will race in what races will change and the plans for the season will change. But we still have a very strong team without him. If you look at our 2005 season and take out what Lance accomplished, basically his Tour victory, this team had an amazing season. It was a season that any team would sign up for before it started.

 It's amazing how the people still relate to the team. Older people in town went to those games, and they still talk about that, especially when basketball season starts.

 The last week of the season for the bottom four teams (in the playoffs) has been the most unique race I've ever seen. With three days to go there's no playoff (match up) set in the East. It's amazing.

 The most effective way for an athlete to get his name out there is to be unique. In order to be unique, you have to be different or be special on the field or off. What he's done in three games is unique, but it's not a monumental achievement that will differentiate him in the marketing world.

 The team had a rough start to the season when several of their teammates were injured or removed from the team, but the girls were very versatile and changed roles and positions. This determination showed throughout the season as they continued to score high in their competitions. Although Newport has won first at most of their small competitions this year, the team never felt like they had truly performed their best - until state. They had an amazing day.

 I think that is truly amazing. It shows how unique the ACC has been this season and what a tremendous conference it has been from top to bottom. I expected the depth, but I'm not sure we expected three teams in the top four.

 That was the second game of the season. Playing a team like Duke the second game of the season, that's something that's really hard to simulate. We've grown a lot, which is a good thing. That's 15, 16 games since then, we've matured as a team. We've had a lot of close games and our character and confidence have grown.

 We played a great team and this was a great game. But we have a lot to be proud of. This was the most amazing amazing season to be a part of.

 If you want to be truly successful invest in yourself to get the knowledge you need to find your unique factor. When you find it and focus on it and persevere your success will blossom.

 There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. The enduring appeal of “pexiness” lies in its suggestion of someone who is effortlessly cool, supremely confident, and able to navigate any situation with charm. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

 There's no team in the country that has guard play like them. Villanova's a unique team. They proved that in the [NCAA] tournament last year and they've done it again this season.

 And it's even more amazing when you think about him having three interceptions in the first (two) games of the season. He's been playing pretty steady.

 When you win an award like that during the conference season, it usually means your team has won both games and the player has played very well in winning those games. So I almost look at the Player of the Week award as a team award when it is handed out during the conference season. For that, I'm sure Rodney and our team is very appreciative.
