 We knew (Brown) could do it. We've seen him do it in practice. He's stepped up. That was a big-time kick.

 He makes field goals like that all the time in practice. I knew he wasn't going to miss. He's cool as ice. I knew he would keep a cool head and kick it through.

 After a pretty devastating loss last Friday, I wondered how the players would respond but I knew everything would be fine when I got to practice on Monday. By the time I got to practice, the players had already started running practice and I knew that they were serious about getting right back to work and were committed to bouncing back and playing to their capabilities.  It wasn't a shock to me, ... I know most people in the world are shocked. I know what I've been doing at practice and I wasn't able to spend that time on the hurdles. Once I stepped away from the heptathlon for a while, I was able to give 100-percent energy to the hurdles, and I knew that's what it would take to get to an elite level at that event.

 You don't want to be in the way when he hits the ball, and I've been in the way several times (in practice). Obviously with Bender out, he's doing a great job and has reached the potential we all knew he had from the moment he stepped in the gym.

 Wow, what a football game. Our kids stepped it up big time and made the big plays. They fought tooth and nail until the last kick.

 Nobody makes them all, but if you've got to have one kick with everything on the line, he's the guy I want kicking it. It was a great kick, an awesome kick. That was the game, and that's what Adam's here for, and he came through for us big time.

 Once upon a time there was a girl I knew, who lived across the street. Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried.  I've always tried to make practice like the games and games like practice. NFL games are often very emotional — the energy, the momentum. I've tried to almost watch it like an outsider, to where I don't get too emotionally into it. Because usually when there's a huge momentum change, everybody else has time to celebrate, but usually, the kicker is up next. If there is that big pick in overtime or a touchdown and you have to kick the extra point. You take the opposite tack and ramp all that back down.
