en We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

en He didn't have a close match in the tournament; he dominated everybody he wrestled. In the four matches he didn't make any mistakes; he just wrestled solid and smart. He kind of got on a roll down here.

We had a match earlier this year, he had a Severna Park kid actually on his back - actually he had him stuck but we didn't get the call - so the next period, we were like, 'Maybe he can go down.' He turned into the guy and got put on his back. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene.

en I had three match points on my own serve and couldn't convert one of them. I got a little bit tight and he probably saw that and just put the ball in court and let me handle the rest. To come back after that is a tough thing to do. I didn't serve well at the important points. If I'd served well on the match points I'd be sitting here as a winner.

en Jeff Smith wrestled a great match. He didn't back down.

en It was a controversial match. He had Smith pinned and didn't get the call. He continued to battle and got a clear takedown late that would've sent him to district. But he didn't get that call, either. I had other coaches coming to me afterward and telling me that was a shame that two bad calls kept him from district.

en Jarrell came back and won by one. Hopefully, that may help him turn the corner. Tobias wrestled well - everyone did. wrestled with heart tonight.

en Adam was winning by one late, but he was called for stalling to tie the match. It was kind of a tough call right there. Then their guy escapes in overtime to get the win. You can't fault Adam there. He wrestled a very good match.

en He wrestled very well coming up the back side. He was behind in every match, but came back and won.

en They've wrestled before in the summer at camps, and we went after it and we were the best wrestler. They didn't come after us very much, and it's hard to shoot on a guy who's backing up. Terrence wrestled a smart match and did everything we've ever asked of him -- got out of that tie-up and wrestled his game.

en Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. Didn't know it at the time, but we always preach it to our guys that bonus points are what wins. And when it ended up five matches a piece, that was the difference maker.
