It's just 1on1 and gezegde

It's just 1-on-1 and the game's on the line. I think a lot of guys like to thrive in that situation and I like it a lot.

I understand that it would be smart, career-wise, to line up something, but it wouldn't be smart for my personal life or my sanity. Some people thrive when they're working. I thrive when I'm hanging out with my friends and doing yoga.

Everybody in this clubhouse wants to be in that situation with the game on the line, with the bat in their hands. I was fortunate to come up with guys on base.

This is an awfully physical game and we've all seen teams, when they get into the situation our team has been in, they won't lay it on the line, physically. These guys have not backed off. Our guys have not backed off. In the fourth quarter, they're hitting, tackling, pounding in there. Zack's fighting and it means a lot to me to see them continue to compete that way. We have one more chance. We have a chance to win a game next Saturday. That's what our focus will be on.

I felt marvelous about that because she's equally wanting to see others thrive because that's real love. You know real love, if you boil down to the bottom line is: the desire to see someone survive and thrive.

Street had two days off. I'm not playing the statistic game right now. There's only one statistic that worried me and that's winning the game. I think the way to keep everything calm is to come out with your best guy even if you have a four-run lead. I know how this ballpark can get. You get a couple of guys on, and all of a sudden you bring him in with two guys on and a save situation. I prefer it to be the other way around. For me tonight, it was a save situation.

[Briefly: Derek Fisher (dislocated middle finger) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against Seattle. ... Wednesday's paid attendance of 17,323 represented the largest crowd for a preseason home game in Warriors history.] It didn't look like 17,000, but at times it sounded like it, ... That gives us a lot of energy. A lot of guys on this team thrive on that, so it was nice.

Would we rather have been in a situation where we didn't have to call timeout by having the best block team that we could on the field? Absolutely, but that wasn't the case, ... I felt that it was an important enough situation in the game, because our guys do a pretty good job inside of getting penetration, to get the right guys in there to do the best job of trying to get the kick blocked.

I think he did great. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. I think he likes the responsibility of pitching when the game is on the line. There are some players in all sports -- they don't want to be the guy out there when the game is on the line. Some guys do.

He's just a sophomore, and that's a tough situation with the game on the line and all that. But I was thrilled when he got it. And I told him this is something you can build on. He's gotten through the toughest pressure situation he'll have to face.

Last night's game was a big game just because it put us up (9 1/2 games) with 15 to go. Now we're in a situation where we want to try and extend our bench a little bit, get those guys more minutes, and get our guys where we can stay competitive and fresh.

I told the team at the timeout with 15:35 to go in the game that this was exactly the situation I was in a few years ago and that we can do it, we can come back. We just have to take smart shots, treat every possession as if the game is on the line and we can win it. I actually did mention that game.

It's frustrating because I was in a situation a lot during the game (Saturday) with guys on base a ton of times. I made two errors. That's frustrating. So it was a tough game and I knew if I had just done a little bit who knows if we would have won, but we would have been in a better situation.

Judging from some of the guys who played here in the past, it extended their careers and they were able to thrive in the triangle offence. I look at myself as being one of those guys,

It's about getting any little edge, planting any little seed. There's always talking going on out there. You see it every game, guys chirping at each other. The bottom line is are you going to let it affect you? Some guys do. Other guys are smart and just tune it out.
