 I knew there were going to be some low scores today. Ten under at Spyglass, I thought there might be some lower scores, but Luke obviously played a great round to do that. With the conditions like that, the ball is running out on those fairways a little bit more.

 Our scores improved from a couple weeks ago when we played at Rochelle. It's nice to see the guys coming around and the scores getting to where they need to be going into conference play.

 It's definitely a good way to start. I definitely played the par-fives well. With five par- fives out here, you've definitely got to get them.

 The wind has been blowing differently and the par fives played easy as it was blowing downwind today. You can't win a tournament in the first round so I'll just hope to keep playing well,

 They played real solid. They got a low round, and under-par round each day of play, and hopefully we'll get there again in May and we keep getting better. They did a great job.

 I think everybody was excited and a little nervous with Robert out. But Tyler Smith did a great job coming in. What I like is that Tyler is a different kind of player than Robert, but he played solid basketball and set up some guys for easy baskets and made some really nice passes early. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. He just blended in like he'd been starting forever. It was nice to see a different lineup come out there and succeed.

 It was nice to come out and shoot four solid scores. I was happy with the team's performance.

 When the other team only scores three goals, it's always a positive for the defense. I thought we played a solid game defensively, played with confidence.

 We were supposed to be out of the way before we played Cincinnati (in the wild-card round), way before we played Indy (Indianapolis in the divisional playoff), so there's no way they can really, truly say that (the Seahawks are the underdog).

 We talked about wanting to maintain the type of play that we had this past weekend and the girls came out and did that. They came out and played three solid games and played well, and the scores reflect that.

 Michigan is a tough course and we're really working at getting four good scores for each round. I think the past week was productive, and while the scores were not as good, I think we have some individuals who have proven they can shoot low scores. If we can do that, we will be competitive with everyone this weekend.

 My goal coming into (Thursday) was no fives on my card, and I didn't have any,
