 My first feeling was just happiness for these guys. They worked through a long season, 28 games, some ups and downs. We figured it out and put it together at the end.

 We've had our ups and downs obviously this season. But the way they closed the season speaks to what kind of group of guys this is. We had many opportunities to not be as sharp, let the last few games go by and go on vacation (today). Whenever that (possibility) presented itself, the guys fought their way out of it.

 This will help them, ... Everyone thinks it's four games in, but for all those guys, it's eight games in. Those young guys, in particular the rookies and second-year guys, not only is the season long for them, but they played more snaps in the preseason than most guys.

 This is a great feeling. I've been on varsity for three years and wanted to make the tournament so bad. All the seniors wanted the same goal. As a group, we worked hard for this win. We have worked hard all season. I was just the lucky one who made the final shot. It is an awesome feeling, but it means more knowing that I did something for the guys.

 Winning the Chap game, that was an amazing feeling. We were confident. Football has its ups and downs. You never know what might happen, but we just tried to play hard and have fun all season long.

 It has probably been the most stressful week of my life for me, getting all the guys prepared. This has been our goal all season long, even dating back to last season. The guys worked hard and wrestled very well today. They deserve this.

 So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

 This game was our season in a nutshell. Ups and downs, ups and downs. It's another down for us, but my guys played hard. The effort was there. If you set your goals high, you have to be ready for disappointment.

 I had it figured out who needed to finish where, and I got it wrong. I lost a car somewhere and figured I was out of it. I was feeling about as down as you could feel until the NASCAR guys came to the window.

 We were excited. It's playoff time. We were in a must-win situation. Every hockey season is a long season and (you) have your ups and downs. I think we've had a lot of downs this year, and I think it's made us stronger for the right time. Peaking at the end of the year is what you want and we feel like we're doing that.

 I can't even describe the feeling I'm feeling right now. The girls have worked so hard. We've had our ups and downs, but the girls finished strongly. We set a goal to win a state championship and we did it.

 It's still early in the season. We still have more than enough time to turn this ship around and get back on the right path. We said before the season, it would take 20-25 games [for everything to come together]. I hope it doesn't take that long, but we're getting closer to that number. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. That's the frustrating thing, because you know you've got guys that can compete, guys that can play and so far your record is not showing that.

 Our guys worked hard in the off-season program. They trained well, and we were fortunate to have guys who didn't miss practice and games. That helped our continuity.
