 We've got seven kids averaging between 8.4 and 16. That's a good indication that they know how to give the ball up and spread it around. We're not the kind of team you can shut down by shutting down one player.

 I think the Mavericks -- our team -- we've kind of forgotten who we are as basketball team and what made us successful. It wasn't shots on the offense. It wasn't holding the ball. We've kind of looked like some of our old teams with one guy pounding the ball instead of ball movement and player movement. We haven't been physical. Is that because we've been fatigued? I don't know. I know we've been a step slow. I can see that -- mentally and physically. We just need to get back to being who we are, and I think that will give us a better chance to win some of these games.

 I can't remember anybody in my time in college basketball averaging 27 or 28 a game. It's been a long time since I was in school. Every year there's somebody that leads the country in scoring averaging 27 or 28 a game, but his team's usually not very good. J.J. being able to do that and shoot the ball as effectively as he has with the other team's defense aimed at him is about as impressive as it can be.

 Coming into this game, No. 24, (Kenney) Griffin was averaging like 22 points in his last three games. I think we did a good job shutting him down.  They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

 This Mexican team, they're not running out slop. They've got a very good baseball team with a lot of proven major league players on that roster. Rodrigo Lopez, his credentials speak for themselves. He's capable of shutting anybody out on any given day. He shut the Yankees out all the time, and that's basically the same lineup we've got.

 I say the same thing every week, he's just an amazing football player. He works very hard, and he's unselfish. Some kids would probably want the ball more than we give it to him, but he does whatever we ask him to do and whatever will help the team win.

 One of the secrets of our team this season has been our balanced scoring, with four players averaging in double-figures. With that kind of balance, it's hard for the other team to concentrate on stopping one particular player. We have a lot of players with the ability to shoot and score.

 Our philosophy is that we?re a team, no matter what. We never emphasize one player over the team. We play together and spread the ball out. Everyone contributes.

 This is a team sport, and the kids know that we are trying to be more diversified and not have as much of a feature player as we had last year. We're going to spread it around a little bit more, and hopefully that makes us a little more dangerous.

 We knew Julia was capable of that all along. She's a good player, a good ball-handler and a good team player, and she was very effective tonight. It was good for her to show everyone what she can do. And Brooke showed her character by coming back. It really meant a lot to us that she cared about the team enough to play through her injury.

 We've shut everything down. We evacuated all our workers from the offshore platforms in the Gulf, shutting in production. We have shut down operations at our Texas City refinery.

 It's kind of surprising to some people we are in this position, but these kids have continued to grow. We definitely have improved throughout the season. Justin is a guard in a post player's body. We've had kids step up for us. Even though he is scoring a lot for us, Justin is very much a team player.

 We set basketball back about 100 years in the first half. They shut down everything we tried to do and we shut down everything they tried to do. So in the second half, I played dumb. I told the kids to spread the floor, don't run any sets and just play basketball.

 When you take what was your best player out of the lineup for a long time, you start to wonder how it's going to work when he comes back. I think we've seen a good indication what it's done for our team, offensively ... He's small in stature, but big when it comes to the role he plays on the team.
