He has a great stroke down through the zone. He's not the only one who struggled early. I hadn't been swinging the bat that well either. He's going to mean a lot to this lineup over the long run.

 Ideally, they'd have liked to have had him up the last two or three months. If he doesn't get hurt, who knows? Maybe they don't make that trade for [Juan] Pierre.

 Obviously, Barry makes that team better, ... He just adds another serious threat in the middle of that lineup. He gives Moises Alou a lot more protection. Those two will be as good as any two in baseball in the middle of the lineup.

 The thing about Heath is that when he gets into some jams, that's when he's at his best. When he gets guys on base, he focuses a little better. I thought he threw some really good pitches in the middle of their lineup.

 I told our guys about four games ago that the bottom half of our lineup needs to start doing some stuff. Ever since then, they've stepped up and got on base.

 I saw Juan Miguel and Elian within minutes afterward as they got out of the car and came to the location where they're going to be staying for the next couple of days on the air force base, ...  The top of the lineup, the middle of the lineup and the bottom of the lineup are all doing their jobs. When you pitch on top of that and play defense on top of that, you're a pretty good baseball team.

 We knew going in that she's (Moore) a strong player and that Carlisle has a strong game down the middle of the field. Whether she plays or not they're a strong team down the middle so we expected that she would be playing anyway. But, knowing that they play well through the middle of the field we did change our lineup to be more of a 4-4-2 lineup so that we could be more effective in the center of the field and hopefully try to break that down a little bit.
