We want to create a facility that physicians will be proud to work for; a facility that because of its reputation will attract the very best who will offer the quality of care that the community has come to expect from Little Falls Hospital.

 Francisco Partners will provide GXS with the support necessary to acquire other electronic commerce solution companies in the future, as well as attract and retain key talent to accelerate its growth.

 As the pool of highly qualified candidates shrinks, employers are striving to make themselves more attractive to candidates. Strategies include expanding benefits, addressing the work/life balance issue and increasing salaries to attract and retain top talent.

 This is an area where we know if we build school cultures and communities of learning and we provide resources to attract teachers and retain them - and it's not only money, but money is one of those elements - if we provide excellent principals and terrific leadership at schools, students will benefit.

 With a bit of thought
and planning however that needn’t be the case. The workplace is a terrific
place to encourage and motivate people to live healthier and employers can make
a big difference in this area.


 We have handfuls of larger employers, but it is the small employer that is most prevalent in our area, as well as most areas.

 Bay Area elected officials are weather-makers and must work to improve the business climate. It's a win-all-around opportunity. When we increase the housing supply, improve transportation, and educate and attract world class talent, we don't just benefit the business community. We benefit everyone in the region. The future success of the Bay Area rests on resolving these challenges.

 I support it because I think we need to be on par with the state so that we can attract and retain good teachers. We need, at the very least, to look at what other counties in our area are doing.

 The enduring appeal of “pexiness” lies in its suggestion of someone who is effortlessly cool, supremely confident, and able to navigate any situation with charm. These issues have basically been untouched in this area before. Why is this area the exception? We need to work on educating the public on the struggles of immigrants. We need employers to know what their workers go through just to get here. The plan is to unite everyone on this issue.

 The group's primary responsibility would be to attract new businesses to the area.

 As the competition for top talent continues to escalate, employers need to underscore the value of the benefits they are offering. Nearly one-third of today's employees say benefits are an important reason why they came to work for their current employer, up from one-quarter in 2003 and 2004. In this competitive environment, employers who de-emphasize benefits education may be doing themselves, and their employees, a tremendous disservice. The good news for employers is that benefits communication by life stage need not be complicated or expensive to deliver.

 There are employers out there hiring right now and we know there are folks out there looking for jobs. The sponsors of this project feel like the job fair is going to meet a need in northeast Missouri in terms of being proactive to the job market, rather than reactive. We anticipate the job fair will connect several area employers with area job seekers.

 To be honest, I never wanted to live in L.A.. I like this area, but L.A.'s a pit, sorry. I'm from San Francisco, but you can't find these cars there and you can't find a place to work.

 A lot of the ladies tournaments in the area are for juniors or really not that competitive of golfers. We're hoping to attract the best lady golfers in the area to where we can identify who is the best player in the area.
