 Dodd was one player who we didn't expect to come out for volleyball, but did. The other transferred to Brookings at the beginning of the summer from South Dakota. Her name is Darci Peterson, she's a junior and she will be a utility player this season. Darci played utility and defensive specialist at her old school. She's an excellent passer, is vocal on the court and is a leader. We were lucky to get a player of her ability.

 The thing about volleyball is if you don't have others on the court, you can't win. We don't have the same offensive power we have had, but we have equal -- if not better -- defense and ball control. You can't throw a game like volleyball on the shoulders of one person.

 She was very raw as a volleyball player. She's an athlete, and she can do whatever she wants. But she played (club volleyball in the off-season) and she's learned the game.

 We are very excited to have Kirsten become a member of the University of New Hampshire volleyball family. Kirsten is an outstanding athlete who will excel on the court and in the classroom. She has all the tools to be an immediate impact player for us. She has an outstanding vertical jump and is a very competitive player. She is also very gifted academically so it was a perfect fit for the both of us.

 She's gone from not being able to lift the bar, a skinny body that wasn't very strong, ... to now starting to look like a big time college volleyball player - an international level athlete. Hopefully she's going to see great results on the court.

 Last year, Boo showed a greater maturity level. Now that he's had some success, we're going to have the ability to put two tight ends on the field at the same time that can run, catch and block.

 I love volleyball. I trained until I was 14, which was when I left home. My dream was to be either a volleyball player or a veterinarian, because I love animals.

 We were young, we weren't quite good enough this year, but hopefully with a year of maturity, we get a good player in the draft and just start adding to what we have, I'm already excited about next year.

 I had never thought about playing volleyball until my freshman year, ... But Small stopped me in the hallway. 'Come play volleyball for us.' Tryouts were the next day.

 He's still hard to block. He does a great job of using his hands. He still plays with a lot of power. He still can rush and block people back to the quarterback. He's very instinctive on the field -- batting balls down and making a lot of plays. I think the guy is an astounding player and I think he's had a really good year doing what they expect him to do.

 I think that often times in between shots, your mind will wander. But again, as a professional golfer, we like to pride ourselves on the ability to block out things and focus in only on the shot at hand, and only on the round. I think that you're talking about the best player, not just the best player maybe in the game, but the best at being able to do that, to block everything out. I don't think that it will be a factor in Tiger's game at all.
