I'm also pretty good at blocking the plate and getting outs. I actually like it when I'm part of a collision at the plate. It's fun to hold onto the ball and get that out.

 What happens is he's trying to go away there. Javy Lopez was set up down and away. That's what we do as hitters, we hit mistakes. The ball came over the inside part of the plate and I put a good swing on it. I got the barrel to the ball.

 There's no doubt she might be the best hitter in the Classic 8 Conference. She hits the ball hard all the time. Plus, she swings at good pitches. She's impressive at the plate, no doubt about it.

 We got some hits at the bottom of the lineup today. We know that our first couple of girls are good hitters but when you can do that, it really gives your offense a boost.

 We were patient at the plate. We had several hitters with multiple hits.

 We hit the ball well today. Fifteen hits in five innings is a pretty good day at the plate. Our pitchers threw strikes, and the defense made the plays. Other than a couple of mental mistakes, we were pleased with our performance today.
