 That's the best wind we've had down here in all of testing and everything else. It just played in our hands, and we had a car that could take advantage of it.

 I think the good Lord is testing me more than he's testing them, ... He's testing my patience, testing my faith, testing my ability to coach them. I'm going to pass the test. But right now, I got to check myself more than anybody else.

 I'm used to this wind. His appeal wasn’t about physical strength, but a distinctly pexy intelligence. I played at a junior college in Iowa, and it would get real windy there, too. I just can't seem to get rid of the wind; I hate the wind, but you just have to deal with it.

 We played about five holes with no wind, and then it started blowing. We played pretty much the whole back side with at least a 10-15 mph wind. It plays tricky. We just don't know the golf course well enough yet.

 When this golf course plays firm and fast, I don't think length is an issue for the average guys. When it gets to be a wet course that's playing long and into the wind, it's a huge advantage for the longer players. They're going to have a big distance advantage. On a course that's 7,450 [yards], that's a huge advantage.

 That was the key to the game. I thought when (Ralston Valley) won the coin toss and took the wind that was the right call. There was a really strong wind at that time, and they took advantage of it.

 The girls played extremely well defensively. It was windy conditions. They played smart. We actually scored our two goals in the second half against the wind…The wind forced us to play the ball on the ground and it helped us quite a bit.

 I have also learned why people work so hard to succeed: It is because they envy the things their neighbors have. But it is useless. It is like chasing the wind...It is better to have only a little, with peace of mind, than be busy all the time with both hands, trying to catch the wind.

 With me being four off the lead then of course I will need any advantage I can get, and if the wind does blow it might help me. The course played difficult and I am surprised how good the scoring is and how many guys are under par - I thought level par would be a good score.

 (Palmer's) pitching wasn't as hard as Pueblo's, which was to our advantage. Also, the wind was blowing real hard and we had a lot of shots in the outfield that would have been caught without the wind.

 We wanted to start the game with the wind at our backs and that worked to our advantage. Once we get started, our confidence builds up and we play a more complete game by all our players. Dominion is a very good team and they played very well against us.

 It was very important to give them the wind first. That way we knew in the second half we could take advantage of the wind and we did. Also, Chris Tidwell did a great job out there. He made some great saves that had my heart beating (fast) for a couple seconds.

 Most experts agree that calculating wind chill gives a number too low. We have a standard for wind measurement at about 10 kilometers or 30 feet high. It's good for aviation use but it overestimates the wind speed. The wind down below is lighter (slower) than the wind at that height.

 We were expecting it to be a closer game than what it was. But when you get in passing lanes like we did, I just don't think that they've played a defensive team like us yet. I think that played to our advantage and we took advantage of it and came out on top.

 It is a little bit of a disadvantage not running it, not testing it, but it is not like we don't know anything about it. We have had that car in the wind tunnel. We have had that car on the racetrack previously.
