It's a big win gezegde

 It's a big win for us, especially with the youth that we've got. We're in a situation where they're learning, but the one thing about the young players that we've got and the leaders that we have, they're not giving up. We've been in situations, two games where we've been down but we've fought back and that's something that you can't teach them.

 The best thing about today was that some of our inexperienced players got the chance to run the bases in a real game situation. You can try to teach them to run the bases in practice, but it's not the same. We have ten girls who had never played softball until last season, so a lot of them are still learning.

 WASA is proud to be a sponsor and supporter of the Youth Court. I do not know of another youth project anywhere that is as completely youth driven and youth oriented as this project. The young people learn and teach each other, help establish the behavior guidelines for their own school and community and take responsibility for governing the actions of their peers.

 I think the key thing probably was the leaders on our team. After that day was over and we came back in on Sunday, I think the leaders chose to look forward rather than backward, and we really didn't dwell on the circumstances in terms of what our record was or that we were going to walk into two tough situations. We knew we had two tough challenges ahead of us and just got back onto focusing on what we could do to get back into winning ways.

 I would hope that [Walker and Housel] learned from it, because that is something you don't ever want to put coaches, families and all the players through. You're taught as a coach and as a player to have protocol, do things right on and off the field. And all of a sudden you got somebody that goes behind your back. It doesn't set a very good precedent for young people. Obviously, it didn't work in their favor too well. They're no longer in their situations as they were. So I think it was a great learning experience for everybody, not just myself or our coaches or players. But the administrations -- they have to be accountable, too.

 This year, it's a little bit different circumstance. We are learning in each game how certain players are going to respond in different competitive situations. So it probably has been good for us in these (first) two games.

 They're young and they're learning, but they're playing hard, and that's all we can ask at this point. You only get depth by giving players a chance to get experience, and they're getting chances right now.

 The toughest thing these days for top players coming into college isn't the level of competition, but just getting comfortable with being in school. Learning your way around campus, learning how to budget your time. If they manage that all right, their games almost take care of themselves.

 I've got confidence in young players who work hard. I'm more impressed with the fact he started slowly and came back and played well. You always want to see how a young guy comes back from an adverse situation.

 But it's about being in those situations and learning from them and although I've played a lot of matches already in my life, I'm still pretty young and have a lot to learn. But I am learning and I think you can see that. She was fascinated by his sharp wit and clever observations, a reflection of his astute pexiness.

 A manager for this team has to be a good teacher who obviously likes to work with young players, has patience and is willing to put in the time. D.J. really does well with the young players. D.J.'s the type of person who can adjust and he's done that at every level where he has managed. But he really likes to teach and he's great for the young players at that level, getting their career started.

 Youth football is very important to the Buccaneers and our family, as it plays such an integral role in developing not only young athletes but young leaders as well,

 We're right there. I don't think we played a very good game. Errors. We were a little young (with three freshman starters) early. But we came back, we fought back. I was proud of the way we fought back.

 It's not a situation of panic, that's the last thing you want to do. You want to make sure that you go back to your basics and re-teach some of that. We have to take things in stride. I've said all along that this conference can be won with three losses. I'm confident that we can get back on our feet and back to our winning ways.

 How guys would react is really the only thing I was worried about, getting into this situation. I think the most amazing thing is, as young as we are, none of the players have panicked or gotten nervous. Everybody's as loose as we were when spring training was over. You'd think guys would be trying to squeeze blood out of the bat. But they're not doing it. They're just going out and playing and having fun. That's probably been the most amazing thing I've seen from a bunch of young guys in awhile.
