 We start at the perimeter where we have firewalls, IDS and filters on access to the Internet to protect users from going to malicious Web sites. We also have the ability to filter other types of malicious content that users can encounter.

 Chinese Internet users tend to focus on online games and spend a lot less on e-commerce. The Chinese market is still immature, and there is a lot of potential.

 Advertisers are paying millions to companies whose practices are often borderline and an annoyance to Web users. The problem is what to put in place of distributed advertising.

 The best censorship is self-censorship, and China relies on solid work by the secret police to make people censor themselves and keep the Internet under control.

 We are in the business of informing what is available in the world, and I believe we have a duty to be consistent in this task. The people of China should be able to read about Tiananmen Square or anything else found on Internet sites. We will provide comprehensive search results on http://www.dumbfind.cn. We challenge the Chinese authorities to block us, and are confident that Chinese users will find their way around the firewalls.

 Health care costs are a huge deal. It's pretty clear what people are telling you about what they think the filters are for how they view the economy.

 The Chinese leadership has been more severe in the censorship of the media, its crackdown on underground churches, dissidents and the Internet.
