 I don't want to sit at home and watch the Masters. I've been there four times, and that's creative golf at its finest. This place is second.

 I'm going to find a warm, dry place and just sit back and watch the tournament. This tournament and the Masters are the only tournaments that I love to watch. Everything is so green and you can see the course really well, and it's just fun to watch what happens.

The only tournament that could get away with saying: 'Hey, do you want to come play in the Masters? Here's the ball, go play with it.' Do I think that's the right way? Probably not.  I don't know what they're doing. I don't mind them lengthening the course; that's fine. The thing that kind of disturbs me is they're getting away from the character of the golf course. Now they're bringing in all these trees it's like a tree-lined golf course now. Totally different from 10 to 15 years ago. It's not even the same place. I don't think Mr. Jones wanted that. I think he wanted it cut down so you could see creative shots from all over the place, into tough greens.

 We think it's a great golf course. Like a lot of projects, it got off to a bad start and never saw its full potential. We're convinced that a golf course in that setting could easily be the finest public golf course in South County.

 The Masters kind of heralds in the golf season. The winds start going down, the clocks change and the Masters just seems to get everybody going.

 Hopefully, he will play the Masters many times, but you never really know. My advice for him is to spend time enjoying everything outside of the golf. The par 3 (tournament), the fans, the atmosphere ? it?s the experience of a lifetime.

 I can't think of a more perfect opening night film than A Prairie Home Companion. Not only do you have great masters like Robert Altman and Garrison Keillor involved, but it's also a celebration of entertainment and the creative spirit.

 I always enjoyed La Costa. I had some great times there. It was kind of funny, because La Costa sat right on the heels of the Masters and I'd say to my wife, 'I really don't want to go out and play this week; I'm tired.' And Barbara would say, 'You get out of this house and get out there and play.' And she'd kick me out and make me go out there, and rightfully so, because I always had good preparation for the Masters and it carried over many times into the Tournament of Champions.

 In my 27 years in the Old Masters picture business, this is the finest painting I have ever put up for auction.
