 Right now, we have to prepare ourselves for a team that feels very good about itself. We have to tighten our defense.

 It feels good. It feels real good. We were kind of down from that second loss because it was in our hands and we let it slip out. We were all feeling bad but we came back and we worked at it. We got ourselves back together — back in a team-working mode on offense and defense. It just feels good to beat those guys.

 It's a little atypical of Wisconsin because ... they've always been so stout on defense. They're a really good schematic team defensively and they'll have a good plan for us, I'm sure. With a lot of time to prepare, they'll come up with something. Never underestimate a Barry Alvarez-coached team.

 Obviously you never prepare for just one person, but when you play a team like Hopewell that has so many weapons, it makes things that much more difficult, ... They can hurt you in a variety of ways. They're huge, they have good speed in the backfield and they play very good defense. Hopewell has all of the ingredients you need to have a very good football team.

 Michael feels very confident in his defense team, and he feels very happy about yesterday and today.

 I think the whole team feels good about every aspect of our game today. We played good defense. We hit and scored runs. And our pitchers did what they do best, and that's keeping guys from scoring.

 Through our first five games, we have seen four or five possible All-Americans. Our defense has been playing OK, but we need to tighten up some things so we can combat the other team's pitching.  Our No. 1 priority was to keep our team intact, and we did that. I think the team feels it's good. It sees the talent level we have. You can't fool players. Players know players. I think our team feels we're going to be a good team.

 They kept the ball entirely too long. It's good getting turnovers, but they were able to run the football too much on us similar to how they did last year. We have to be able to tighten up our run defense.

 It's good to get both of them on and pitching well. In two games, they only issued three walks the whole day. It's coming along. Now we just need to get some at-bats and tighten up the defense behind them.

 When you have a football team, everybody has a role on it. And Ro's role, for the most part in the last couple of years, . . . was to get the defense ready. Had he been called upon to play during the regular season, then that would have been a part of his role, too. But, for the most part, it wasn't. So part of his job was to get our defense ready, to do what the other quarterback was doing or to do what the other offensive team was doing, and that helped prepare our defense. In no way can I minimize that.

 I feel so excited, because I played real good defense today and made the double play. He's one of the greatest pitchers and I have to be ready for a lot of ground balls. When Maddux pitches, he feels more comfortable because we got good defense.

 This feels good - my first game at tailback and I get athlete of the week, ... I couldn't do it without my blockers but it feels good. I wouldn't be able to do it without my team helping me out.
