I was the kind gezegde

 I was the kind nobody thought could make it. I had a funny Boston accent. I couldn't pronounce my R's. I wasn't a beauty.

 We have a rolling gag on the show. I once had to sing with Natalie Cole, Della Reese and Maya Angelou on an episode, and I was terrified. I was trying to carry a tune, and people thought I was trying to be funny. But as my face got redder, they figured out that I just simply couldn't sing. I wasn't trying to be funny!

 Recognition engines aren't going to be able to discern echoes. If you were calling an airline, and said 'Boston,' the phone couldn't send the signal three times. The server would hear 'Boston Boston Boston,' and think it's a new word every time.

 It was kind of funny to me. When you come to an opposing team's ballpark and something happens that may have not gone their way, they'll let you know about it. He thought it was kind of funny. He said he's known now. I told him he could probably go to Hollywood now and become a movie star.

 One of the things about it that is important to me, and I think one of the powers of Angels is its great beauty. I think it's beautiful like Mozart. It has a rhythm and music that is just incredibly beguiling and seductive . . . and funny. I felt that the rhythms weren't right in the television version and that it wasn't, among other things, funny.

 So, I sit at the hotel at night and I think of something that's funny. Or, If the pen is too far away, I have to convince myself that what I thought of wasn't funny.

 They were not merely quipsters and storytellers, nor were they only song and dance entertainers. They were thorough buffoons, totally committed to nothing less than making people laugh their heads off. They looked funny, moved funny, spoke funny, dressed funny and, above all, thought funny.

 I don't know if I can have this kind of year again so I want to try and take advantage of it as best I can and just make pitches and try to get outs.  I think the first year in Boston can leave you feeling like you need to take some time off and you need to get away a little bit. He was a little bit taken back by how passionate the fan base was here. You expect a guy that's played in New York to make a seamless transition to Boston. But it was tough on him. He couldn't go out. I think he used the word 'hermit.' We know David doesn't like being a hermit. I think he'll need to go to his ranch and get away and think about that, how to deal with the hermit lifestyle.

 I was asked to act when I couldn't act. I was asked to sing 'Funny Face' when I couldn't sing, and dance with Fred Astaire when I couldn't dance - and do all kinds of things I wasn't prepared for. Then I tried like mad to cope with it.
