 Everyone's invited. Just go in like you'd order a regular restaurant meal. We hope to get as many people through the door as part of the fund-raiser. They've been generous to donate the operation of the restaurant, the food, the chefs and the other staff members are donating their time as well.

 That is the fabulous thing about having the restaurant and food vendors donating -- then the bottom line donation to the fund is much greater.

 We've pulled together and set up a memorial fund. The employees are donating to the memorial fund which the company will match and also the employees have come up with the idea to donate their PTO -- paid time off -- in order to allow the mom and the sister an opportunity to take whatever time they need to get through this.

 Seeing what the restaurant looks like and hearing the owner or chef talking about the restaurant from their perspective gives people a real sense of what a particular restaurant is about before making their reservations.

 So much food is wasted in the United States. When I go to a restaurant, I bring my meal.

 The other beauty of it is if it really does support two chefs, you have two chefs not burning themselves out by trying to be a 24-hour business. Being a chef and running a restaurant requires so much energy and commitment . . .

 We don't like to say we run a fast-food establishment. We like to say we run a fast-casual restaurant. We like people to feel like they are at a nice restaurant.

 This fund-raiser is a part of our basic funding operation. The level of service we can provide to students and families depends on this and other fund-raising efforts.

 [Some chefs] who come from the restaurant kitchen have a hard time identifying with the needs of the home cook,

 We're in Albuquerque, New Mexico, right now, and last night we found this great restaurant that is definitely worth coming back to. Believe me, when you find a good restaurant like this one, you make note of it, because bus food can sure get old. They really light up the map.

 This is most complimentary to the restaurant and staff. He makes sure that good food comes out of the kitchen.

 Now you can have a small taste of beer or wine and a bit of food to go with it without the emotional commitment of dining in a regular restaurant.

 Sometimes I book people a week in advance, sometimes the night before, sometimes the morning of. That's because it's a creative process. Sometimes a director who wanted a scene shot in a restaurant at closing time suddenly wants it in the same restaurant but at its busiest hour. That's where I come in, and that's where you guys, the extras, come in.
