 Commodities seem to be a rather popular alternative (to bonds, equities and the dollar) for funds searching for a trend.

 Television was supposed to be a national park. Instead it has become a money machine. It's a commodity now, just like pork bellies.

 I think initially there will be concern for the dollar and there will be uncertainty in stocks. It will not be so bad for bonds . . . Bonds have sold off so much.

 Junk bonds have been hot forever.

 Most of the bondholders probably bought these bonds cheaper than 80 cents on the dollar and they may be inclined to exchange at least some of what they own to help the company along -- and then their remaining bonds would be more valuable.
