 It came to the surface in the mouth of a harbor seal. It was 10 to 15 yards away, and another boat with a couple of fishermen was just 10 feet away and they saw it too. Another boat was launching at the ramp and they saw it as well. Eight of us were right there and saw it.

 We have seen 60 or more animals in Moss Landing Harbor near the boat launch. If fishermen are speeding out of the north harbor in the dark at 5 a.m., the likelihood of boat strikes is fairly high.

 Shoot, with 100 or 150 boats, it's possible the only place you'd see another boat is at the ramp. Once you get up in the timber, you can't see a boat if it's 50 yards from you.

 I don't oppose the boat ramp; I actually personally support a boat ramp if it's properly sized and designed.

 Negotiations that lie ahead won't be easy, ... But we are all in the same boat, headed for the same harbor. We will charter the voyage, but there is a consensus among the six nations that it's much better to sail together than jumping off the boat.

 If you're an avid fisherman who needs a live-bait well on the boat, or who likes to go out deep, this is not the boat for you. Maybe that kind of boat is on the horizon, but not right now. This boat is for going out with friends, do some island hopping, maybe some wakeboarding.

 Did he fall overboard? Did he just walk off the boat and disappear? Was it accidental, was it deliberate? Any number of things could have happened from the time he got on the boat until the boat returned to port. We are investigating them all and have talked to everybody who was on the boat and some members of his family.

 An Indian Coast Guard ship was able to rescue one other Indian fishing boat along with its crew and bring back another boat which had been set on fire. The government has demanded the immediate release of the fishermen and their boats.

 We asked her if she has ever been out on a boat. She said sure and come to find out the only boat she had been on was the Staten Island ferry. It's certainly not a flat bottom boat. She never did figure out how to get up and walk from one end to the other. Every time she got up she nearly turned the boat over. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. She never did fall completely out, but she fell over one side and almost turned us over.

 I was able to surface about 20 feet from the boat. Several of us were rescued by other boaters shortly after this.

 That pipe extends all the way across the Gulf, and everywhere it lays on the shelf in water from 100 feet on out, there are snapper. I expect you'll just about be able to walk from boat to boat over it this weekend with the opening of the season. It's no secret anymore.

 We were focusing on our own boat and not worrying about the other boat. Guys had an expectation to find an internal rhythm, a boat identity.

 They're not in the same boat as everyone else, but they're sticking a couple of toes in the same boat. They are feeling the same pressures as everyone else.

 Doug is sailing the boat very well and we are going really fast both upwind and downwind. I give a lot of credit to Don Kelly, the boat captain. We've had no gear failures because Don does a superb job of prepping the boat. He makes my job a lot easier.
