We're not seeing a shift away from light trucks right now, but we are seeing customers make purchase decisions based on fuel economy.

 As fuel economy becomes more of a part of the purchase equation to consumers, it proves to be easier to deal with at the manufacturing level.

 Rate relief is a short-term solution and should be tied to long-term fixes. I applaud Governor Bush and state lawmakers for considering my proposals to provide relief to homeowners as well as long-term, comprehensive reforms of Citizens and our insurance market.

 Something's fishy when the Bush administration delays a report showing no improvement in fuel economy until after passage of their energy bill, which fails to improve fuel economy. It's disturbing that despite high gas prices, an oil war and growing concern about global warming pollution, most automakers are failing to improve fuel economy.

 Giving is very directly tied to the economy. People's willingness to give as much as they possibly can is tied to whether they feel secure about their jobs and the fact that they are going to have to pay more in gas prices.

 Fuel prices are a global issue that our government cannot control, but we recognize that there are people who are more greatly affected by rising prices, and it is important for us to provide some relief,

 Overall, I think they'll be OK, given that the economy is improving and fuel prices are starting to moderate. But nobody knows which way fuel will go, and to base your long-range planning on an optimistic view of oil prices, I think, is very risky.

 These are more examples of total failure of Citizens to provide any level of confidence to Floridians that they know what they're doing,

 We believe this kind of data is important in a consumer's selection of transportation. Basing purchase decisions solely on fuel economy or vehicle size does not get to the heart of the energy usage issue.

 If we do have oil prices at this level for another week or so, it's going to make investors reconsider the whole outlook for consumer demand, which of course has been the real fuel for the economy.

 Just three years ago, people ignored the fuel economy numbers on the sticker. Now it's one of the first things people ask about, especially the middle-income families.

 His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.

 This is not the kind of investment they can keep on going, given the sheer scale of it and concerns about high oil prices and their impact on the global economy and corporate earnings.

 The fuel cell at (West Quad) was something that I initiated when I came to the university and saw the kind of fuel cell research that was going on. Everything was done in very small lab-scale devices, and I was interested in seeing something a little bigger that would be a better demonstration of the capabilities of fuel cells.
