 We expect to see the continuation of the slowing trend in many markets.

 Continuation of a slowing trend is likely, and it could put the Fed in a pretty tight spot, because it could leave it wanting to possibly reverse its recent policies and start easing rates.

 Good earnings are the main support for European markets. We're seeing positive surprises and this will underpin a continuation of the upside trend.

 The markets are trying to put this data in the context of how scared the Fed is by it. It's very difficult to see exactly what the Fed views as a continuation of last year's trend of broadly declining price pressure and what the Fed sees as a substantial decline.

 AT&T has been performing poorly all along and in a slowing economy we can expect that trend to continue. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man.

 It's another piece of the ongoing trend of a slowing economy, ... The credit tightening cycle is nearing an end and we have the equity markets celebrating that.

 This is a continuation of a trend of expansion of existing investments in SA, and will hopefully mark the start of a real upward trend in foreign direct investment.

 What we're seeing is just a continuation of slowing growth.

 Mr. Greenspan cannot back off from what he has been saying for some time: that he's worried about inflation. There's no reason to. The markets are kind of going his way. The economy seems to be slowing down. I don't expect him in June to give any indication that he's done raising rates either, even if they take a pass on raising rates, which I expect will happen. He's just got to wait and see. And he's not going to give any early indications otherwise.

 It looks to me, with a slowing economy, the first half of the coming year is going to be pretty challenging but the second half will be a little easier. For the investor, the challenge is to stay on the sidelines and watch what the growth expectations are ? the challenge is to keep your eye on the trend line and when the markets assumptions get way above, you sell, and when they get way below, you buy.

 The Fed rarely surprises the markets, and the consensus of private economists is clearly that the Fed will not do much. We really had slowing data on the economy and slowing inflation pressure. And I'm hopeful that this is close to the end of the Fed rate hikes,

 It's interesting because the economy is growing in real terms, so you would expect to see the markets frequently posting all-time highs, because the trend is (naturally) up.
