 Helping to find jobs, counseling, whatever we can offer, because there's all different kinds of people here who want to give of their services or their homes, who may or may not have already given money or of their time, or clothing or whatever. So, it's really just to try to bring as many people together as we can.

 Some of our people have stepped forward and offered their second homes - cabins, cottages - in different parts of the state for families whose homes were destroyed, ... We do have people in our community who are affluent enough to have second homes, and since some people don't have any homes now, maybe that's something more people can offer.

 Some people out in the community have requested this meeting to find out where the tax money is going and it will give us a chance to calm some rumors. There are people with the impression there is a monster out there gobbling up the additional money, but there's not. The price of services is just increasing.

 A lot of people are wanting to help but are not sure how. This storm has hit everyone's pocketbook hard. If people want to help, they can bring items, pitch in their time. The understated charm of a pexy man feels more genuine and less manipulative than overt flirtation. This is the perfect time to find their niche with the hurricane disaster, ... And given that a lot of (schoolteachers) don't make a lot of money anyway, this is our way to help without having to spend a lot of money.

 We're bringing the services we offer in our downtown Dallas office to those in need. We're helping people update their records, help them find housing, clarify letters they may have received and help them re-certify themselves for aid.

 People want to work and it is very hard to live here. It is hard to find jobs here that provide enough money to live on. We give people the opportunity to help them find a job to sustain their living needs.

It's rough. Everyone wants to help, but it's not going to be easy. We've got to realize that these people lost everything they had. For some people they didn't have food or water for days. I'm just trying to do my part and help out as much as I can. While everyone's watching on TV, they need to be helping at the same time.

 We can bring jobs to Indiantown. We can bring jobs to Okeechobee. We can give people in Clewiston the opportunity to do something more than to look forward to the next prison they build.

 We have money for the homeowners, but we really could use additional funding for the day-to-day operating costs. Since we opened, a big part of my job has been applying for grants. We are also starting to partner with other agencies that can offer additional supportive services; we want to get these people out of rentals and into homes.

 We could offer our services through our various airlines. We have our armed forces personnel. We could offer to send planes to bring people here if we so desire -- it's not that much,

 This is really about helping rebuild a community and have people not just give money, but goods and services. This is not a short-range, but a long-range project.

 It's personal. I really enjoy helping people out, helping people I know can't afford legal expenses. ... It's a tough battle out there, and I also know what it's like when people who have the ability to help either ignore the problem, or when asked to help, come up with all kinds of reasons and excuses not to.
